This web site provides a simple service – when you find a page on the web whose address is too long to paste into an email or other document, you can use our free service to generate a shorter, simpler address.

    Cool utility … until the links you email go “404” when the site goes out of business.

    [I have several bookmarks from September 2003 from a mere list of 30 that no longer exist; it’s a shame the rate of which sites go dead.]
