New Mouse from Microsoft desinged by Philippe Starck. — Is this an early salvo? Or part of a long term scheme to make products look hot? I find it hard to beleive this guy was hired to JUST design a mouse. I’m thinking a line of computers, keyboards, and the XBOX -2. Move over Apple.

If it were wireless, then it would be interesting.

  2. daniel says:

Microsoft has always known where to play and where not to. It should be like sell [anything] cheap and useful and beautiful. Are you strong or clever?, is your car comfortable or sport?
Besides, they (Microsoft) will be forced to improve all the products designs, to be consistent. Oh, mamma, I don’t want to imagine such a panorama. Apple will win by ten zero.

  3. — “Move over Apple”
You have go to be kidding me.

  4. This mouse looks like something Apple cooked up – it does not look like it’s easy to use…

  5. John C. Dvorak says:

Who knows if it’s easy to use or not. You might be right. I do expect this is just the beginning of a long series of “design” attempts. Hence the “move over Apple.”

  6. Ed Campbell says:

Although I’m currently using Logitech’s answer to MS’s cordless, intelligent, adventurous, whoop-de-doo, optical mouse — I only switched because I’m so pissed off at MS outsourcing. I’ve thrown most everything of theirs away after 21 years — hardware and software. The main result is saving money.

I preferred the larger thumb buttons on the MS version; but, the Intellimouse software never stopped being buggy. The Logitech version is smooth as silk. I won, again.

Someone, someone please, offer me a gui OS that runs the software I own [that runs inside XP]. If your name isn’t Microsoft, I will buy it and try it, instantly!

  7. Francisco says:

pretty cool, it’s a shame that mac lovers still waiting for something big… well.. what can you expect from people that hates microsoft ‘c0s is big but the love a company thats monopoly with their lifes.

  8. Thomas says:

The ergonomics work for someone mousing with a hoof.

  9. Like a keyboard, I have to put a mouse in my hand before I’ll buy it. Even if it only cost $25. The low price is the most surprising thing of this new mouse.
