E-mail gaffe reveals HIV, AIDS names Another tale of rubes with computers. Here’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

WEST PALM BEACH — A highly confidential list of the names and addresses of 4,500 Palm Beach County residents with AIDS and 2,000 others who are HIV positive was e-mailed Thursday to more than 800 county health department employees.

Health department statistician John W. “Jack” Nolan, who compiles data on HIV/AIDS cases for the county, sent the e-mail containing his monthly cumulative statistics report and inadvertently attached a file with the identities and addresses of AIDS patients and others who have tested HIV positive. Health department spokesman Tim O’Connor confirmed the incident.

What a way to spread a virus. Is this what they mean by viral marketing. The adbot is pushing dating for singles and gay sites here John. Talk about a blind date. AIDS is bad, making a buck off it is really sick. You might want to change your ad code or hand edit your ads. A little moderation might help on the backend of the blog. The Best Buy ad is much better. I’ll put you on my viral marketing site soon. It’s a free link. No problem.

  2. Jim says:

The ad bot is serving up stuff on HIV testing now John. I thought the dating thing was in poor taste. I don’t know if the ad bot changed it or you did something. This is much better. Picture a newbie here. You got stuff about AIDS and the ads are pitching a dating service. If you post something about oral sex, we might start seeing more dating ads again. When everything elses falls, the truth stands. I guess an ad bot can’t tell the truth from a viral infection. I have to go, we are playing Stuka Attack tonight. I’m going to take out the ball bearing factories next with a talon attack.
