NEW YORK (AP) — While Hollywood gossips about who was — and wasn’t — in Paris Hilton’s cell phone book, the hotel heiress/reality TV star says she feels “horrible.”
Last week, Hilton’s cell phone was hacked into and its contents (her phone numbers and e-mail addresses) were posted on the Internet.
In an interview with Us Weekly magazine, on newsstands Friday, Hilton says: “I feel horrible that, once again, someone has invaded my privacy. I want to apologize to all my friends and family. I don’t know why this stuff always happens to me, but I wish it wouldn’t anymore.”
Yeah, right.
Here’s where she gets it. Zsa Zsa Gabor, a celebrity-for-celebrity sakes was married to Conrad Hilton and is actually a distant relative of Paris’ by marriage. I can’t image that the old lady didn’t give this girl some coaching in the art of self-promotion. Zsa Zsa was a genius at it. I wonder what Zsa Zsa would think of all the pics of Paris with her tongue down another girls throat. “Dah-link, you haf to do vaht you haf to do!”

Any statement from the secret service on this huge security issue?
I hear on top of protecting the president, Paris now needs a secret service detail to protect her from herself. The secret service is reportedly helping to solve the crisis of fake Google ads and click fraud. The FBI is busy with some other nitwits sending fake email with a new virus. There is now some new Paris Hilton virus, with all the buzz about her cell phone. You can hardly keep up with it all in teenage wasteland.

Hank? Hilton a genius?! She was born wealthy. She’s very good looking. And she’s willing to do anything to get in the spotlight. Exactly how do these three factors make her a genius?
I’m not saying she is a good person or anything. I just suspect she’s a master of personal PR.
There are tens of thousands of very rich people and many of those are very good looking. A lot are naughty, too I have no idea who they are.
But Paris Hilton has become practically a household name. And people (esp Bill O’Reilly!) seem to really care about her!
I’ve worked in advertising and we would pay MILLIONS to get that kind of name recognition. But Paris Hilton? She probably got PAID for much of it!
I won’t definitively declare her a PR genius but somebody smart is behind her fame.
Miss Hilton was born famous because of her name. She became infamous because she’ll do anything to keep it coming.
Sure there are other rich girls in the world, but they’re too smart to go on Fox and play with cow dung. They may want fame, but not that bad.
I guess if Miss Hilton has anything, she has a strong desire for fame. But to attribute it to intelligence on anyone’s part is BS.
She’s beautiful and is willing to titilate. And in our entertainment environment, the media is willing to oblige. It’s just that simple.
No offense, Ima, but you strike me as naive about PR and publicity.
I seriously doubt that Paris Hilton’s fame is just the natural outcome of a famous girl being bad.
It has all the signs of being highly orchestrated. L, some pros are involved. Hilton might also be a natural PR “genius” as I said earlier. Likely, both.

PS As for her personal motivation… you might be right. Who can know? She surely isn’t doing it for the money. Another possibility is something to do with payback to her parents. (just a speculation on my part.) It seems a little like what a resentful adult child might do.
