The ASA was the best kept secret of the Viet Nam era keeping some of the best vacation spots in the Army. I spent two years in northern Thailand where every night was a Saturday night. Avoided away rice paddies and flimsy planes pictured at the linked website. Only violence I saw was downtown in the bars. Noted the post linking to History of the ASA, collector of electronic intel.
