This will be great for me considering I don't have cable right now and I am in love with Bill Maher. It just means I won't have to wait untill August to see him again, If we somehow wind up in a chat room at the same time and place, I could casually invite him to join me for dinner if an when he appears in my hometown. I feel in his eye I would look like a real WINNER compared to some of the bitches he has dated in the past.

I'm shocked that Amazon picked Maher, and that UPS is sponsoring him. Maher is one of the leading spokesperson's against people of faith - especially Christians. He has said that people who believe in God have "a neurological disorder." This in a country and world where 97% of people believe in God, and in a world where over 2 billion (1/3 of the planet) call themselves Christians. We won't even mention what he says about Republicans, who are a mere 1/2 of the U.S. population. Maher is a bigot. At times he's a funny bigot, yes. But a bigot nonetheless.

Hmm... very interesting. Maher is an interesting choice. He does a good job of being a "corporate shill who's not really a corporate shill" here (or vice versa)

THis is a good first step for sure. But I agree, the live streaming only thing will kill them. I wouldn't be suprised if they allowed for at least on-demand streaming with certain mandatory commercials, like CNN does with their video.

I enjoyed the Stephen King interview -- I just wish Amazon would allow us to d/l the content as a "podcast," not just stream it.

Sounds like a great show and I do really like Bill Maher but I really can't see myself being around at 8pm each Thursday to watch this online - after all I have a Tivo at home and an iPod for Cranky Geeks so why do I need to be online to watch this? Needs to be a video podcast...
