Meetsy you're a good example of the type of person who isn't going to make it when the music stops and there's not enough chairs to go around. You represent the deviation from what it means to be a man.

"I really like the look of the new Batwoman. Nice combination of the 60’s Batgirl outfit with the Batman Beyond costume."

So where can we see this new outfit?

The article was mistaken.

DC Comics for their latest event have jumped ahead one year in the storylines of their various comic books. During that missing year, Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman have gone missing. The event is called "One Year Later" or abbreviated OYL.

52 is a comic book coming out on a weekly schedule that will fill in the blanks of that missing year. It won't feature Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. It will feature B-characters like the Question and Booster Gold.

xully,
You are just trying to be obnoxious, aren't you? It's a male thing, isn't it? Must be making up for not getting any sex from anyone, any time, anywhere....so you're heavy into fantasy scenarios. (Hard to type with one hand, isn't it?) I'd guess you have some great fantasies about being ravaged by a big daddy bear, against your will, of course. Can we say prison fantasy!
Now, people are people, no matter WHAT their sexual orientation might be. Who cares! I'm more concerned about my kids staying away from someone's "funny uncle" who does "weird stuff", touchy-feely (wink-wink) Priests, and the janitor at the rec center using an alias (but is really a hide-out of Megan's list). Sex that is chosen and of 'free-will' is one thing, sex that is violence is another. (But, I guess you prefer the rape and pillage kind of forced sex, eh? Seems to be your theme.)
As for your "blood line". Screw you! I've had family in this country since 1640, and honestly, the whole blood line thing is so over rated. You aren't a purebred dog or a thoroughbred horse -- and from what I'm reading you are NOT that special. In fact, not at all. Let's cull the herd, starting with the type like YOU.

re GregAllen: Gay, or just effeminate?

Taking a modern lens and placing it over an 'old' product and trying to 'read' out certain themes is just asking for trouble, IMAO. Heck, look at The Scarlet Letter, a book that can be read in one of at least 40 different (all equally valid, going by the text) ways, from Marxism to feminism to "New" criticism to postmodernism. Attempting to interpret or 'read into' a work of 'art/literature' lends itself to allowing the interpreter to get the results s/he (consciously or unconsciously) wants.

Garbage in, garbage out.

let’s see if you still feel the same way when your 18 year old son starts dating a 40 year old man who dresses in skin-tight black lycra by night.

Hypothetical, or personal experience...?

#14 xully, if your 18-year old son were dating a 40-year old WOMAN who dresses unconventionally, would you really feel a whole lot better? You seem to be clouding the issue with multiple factors, including a large age difference.

As for me, if I had a daughter who hooked up with a lesbian socialite crimefighter, I'd happily set the extra place for Thanksgiving dinner, and allow for the possibility that Ms. Batwoman might have to dash away in the middle of the meal to apprehend a villain.
