Looks like a B-movie
Fulton Sun — I found this whole thing amusing. I wonder if these folks ever realize that once they get their names on the net, anything can happen. Unfortunately when you read this article it is kind of hard to follow the tempest.
Echoes of protest were heard from 30 to 40 students regarding WWU senior soccer player Philip Stubley, who was suspended from his last game in the Owl’s regional match held Friday in St. Louis.
The protesters claim the actions against Stubley were taken based on an article he wrote in campus newspaper titled “Pee or get off the pot,” which outlined and opposed the university’s athletic drug testing policy.
According to Stubley’s article, the university’s drug tests are “invasive, too frequent and seemingly not random.”
The students claim Stubley could not perform in the game because of an unfounded plagiarism accusation made by WWU Athletic director Larry York – who denies the allegations.
