The return of Jesus is a widely held belief but not specifically in 2007.

It is not the US’ fault. They could have been trained by aliens and the outcome could have been the same. And before this country started becoming the banana republic it is today, we participated in the cease fire & disarmanet of those rebels.

What happens in this region, forsaken by their own people is plain surrealistic. Here’s an example: In this country we had gone thru forced & voluntary military service. Most of the people getting on it are low income individuals. They get trained in the military arts & weapons manipulation.

Here’s the kicker, since in this places all government officials are just interested in getting rich (they treat the state as their private enterprise) and this low income individuals are, in a great percentage, looking for the path of least work the result is that the biggest percentage of organized crime like car thiefs, burglars, bank robbers are carried out by guys fresh out of military service. A lot of the times, politicians (especially left winged) take advantage of this groups and take care of them so they do not get into jail in exchange of some jobs here and there like especial hits to certain individuals, hit banks so they can get money for their party (it’s a proven fact that bank robberies increase near election times in this country).

So, as you can see, is not the US’ fault. You cannot help people who neither wanted to be helped nor really want to create a country were individuals can get on with their lives thru their work, especially if this work involves the use of at least 3 cc of brain matter.

I do care, very strongly too, that the death squads, or at least most of them, have been dismantled. Years ago when I lived in Canada, I met many from Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Columbia that had fled their home because of the death squads. Yup, the same death squads trained by Americans at, I believe, Fort Bragg. Canada welcomed them as refugees. The US stopped them at the border.

Listening to the same stories from all these people kinda changed my outlook on any government that supports extra judicial police and army units. I don’t know how many times I heard of people made to work in factories for pennies, unable to have even washroom breaks. Where pregnant women were fired and labor organizers just disappeared.

So if Christ was to return to earth, I would think this is the environment he would return to. Instead of dealing with the Romans and Temple Priests, he dealt with the death squads and CIA. Instead of King Herod, he dealt with Ronald Reagan and his stooges. Only they never gave him a chance to be a martyr; they killed all the witnesses too.

BTW Mr Fusion, Are you still waiting for the coming of the Good Sandinista? don’t wait up, that won’t happen. This is like a good Cuban. I don’t know if you’ve heard a latin american say that goes: A good Cuban is one that comes by land.

As for packing for the Rapture, as the bumper sticker says – Come the Rapture / Can I Have Your Car?
