Suddenly becomes motormouth Mohammed

Pakistani terrorist claims he masterminded 9/11-The United States-World-NEWS-The Times of India — Does anyone find both the timing of this bullshit a little odd not to mention the fact that this guy is essentailly crediting himself with all sorts of unrelated acts that would be impossible for him to coordinate from his Pakistan shithole? But that’s ok, just look at all the horrible things he was about to do before we caught him. Good work, huh? We stopped him just in time.

Prediction, next we find out that Saddam was the other mastermind.

WASHINGTON: A Pakistani national, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, has claimed he masterminded the Sept 11 attacks on the United States and 30 other terrorist attacks and plots around the world.

In a confession before a tribunal at the US military’s Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba, he also claimed that he shared responsibility for several other major plots, including ones to assassinate Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, former US presidents, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, and Pope John Paul.

“I was responsible for the 9/11 Operation, from A to Z,” said top Al Qaeda suspect Khalid Mohammed, speaking through a personal representative, at Saturday’s tribunal hearing, according to the transcript released by the Pentagon here on Wednesday. Certain portions of the confession were omitted for security reasons.

He also confessed to the beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in a section of the statement that was excised from the public document, according to media reports.

Pearl was abducted in January 2002 in Pakistan while researching a story on Islamic militancy. Mohammed has long been a suspect in the slaying, which was captured on video.

Mohammed also claimed responsibility for a 1993 attack on New York’s World Trade Centre, the bombing of two nightclubs in Bali, Indonesia, and an attempt to down two American airplanes using shoe bombs.

By the way, I thought it was pretty well-established that the shoe-bomber was working as a lone wolf. And if Khalid was behind everything and we have caught him then isn’t the war on terror over? Why do I see a perpetual orange alert at the airport?

  1. JimR says:

Well then! That ties all the loose ends up nicely.

    Good work George!

  2. mark says:

It is so over the top only a blithering idiot would believe it. This, I believe is what the government thinks of us. Maybe they have a case.

  3. nathaniel says:

I’ve been wondering why this guy hasn’t been brought to trial, while the government has been going after nobodies like Jose Padilla.

This guy should be tried by jury in New York. And definitely not in a military tribunal.

I just wonder if a confession this ludicrous could actually jeopardize the case against him.

  4. Peter iNova says:

Apparently they left out the part where he confessed to killing OJ’s ex.

  5. ECA says:

    OK,
    interesting senerio…
Im waiting for SOME group to pop up and say…
    WE instigated the WHOLE thing…
WE saw 2 groups infighing and thought…Why not, they will Never believe the OTHER didnt do it.

REALLY, think how easy it would be.

  6. RuralRob says:

Some plumber somewhere must have made a heck of a living unclogging this guy’s bathtub drain every couple of days.

  7. Noam Sane says:

Pretty funny, John. Thanks for the laugh. Anybody who doesn’t think this is to get Gonzalez off the front page is a maroon. They’re just trying to hold on to him until Friday afternoon at 4.

  8. meetsy says:

How do we even know this guy isn’t some actor they cast to fake a “big news event”? He looks like he’s right out of Central Casting. “Quick, we need an Arab looking guy, tough but, not too tough. You know, think the midnight shift at the 7/11…”
Now I get it. The movie “Wag the Dog” was a documentary. You know “A Hollywood producer. A Washington spin-doctor. When they get together, they can make you believe anything. “

  9. Chris says:

You don’t think that this guy ever left his “shithole” in Pakistan or didn’t have communication from inside his “shithole”? You don’t think that maybe he wasn’t always in Pakistan, and may have come there following the fall of the Taliban in Afganistan? You can’t believe that the Al-Qaeda number three had a large hand in the operations of Al-Qaeda? Take off your liberal sunglasses and consider that even though the Bush Administration says he’s evil, that he MIGHT actually be evil? Incredible…

  10. Roc Rizzo says:

In addition to what the MSM has reported,
    He’s already confessed to:
    1) The Lincoln assassination
    2) The Sacco and Vanzetti bombings
    3) Sinking the battleship Maine
    4) Sinking the ocean liner Titanic
    5) Sinking the ocean liner Andrea Doria
    6) Crashing the Staten Island ferry
    7) Convincing the Supreme Court not to count ballots in Florida in 2000
    8) Starting the Cuban missile crisis
    9) The 1918 influenza outbreak
    10) The Kennedy assassination (both John and Robert)
    11) The Martin Luther King assassination
    12) The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire
    13) Not paying parking tickets in Boston, New York, and Washington, DC
    14) Cheating on his taxes
    15) Saying that the check is in the mail when it wasn’t
    16) Creating jock itch
    17) The pain of psoriasis
    18) Passing “go” and not collecting $200
    19) Not eating all of his vegetables
    20) Saying that “the dog did it” when he really did
    21) Flying a B-29 into the Empire State Building
    22) Original Sin.

and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

  11. Danijel says:

29# I guess that is why John put it at “fishy” on his scale and didn’t go all the way, but in terms of probability I’d also put it somewhere around 10-20% probable… All in all it’s a pretty weak experiment and even if some folks at the White House would like it, that won’t justify the Guantanamo Bay detention camp for most of the people….

  12. So Chris, I take it you believe that he’s the trigger man for Pearl too, although the real guy was already named. OK, let’s say he wasn’t in his Pakistan shithole. He was in his Afghanistan shithole on the phone all day doing deals. There are not enough hours in the day to manage all these special events let alone mastermind them all. The whole things is fishy unless you’re extremely gullible. And, again, why is this suddenly revealed now? Oh, wait, a coincidence. Yes, like those fake terror alerts we were given during critical times in the 2004 election, right? The ones that they admitted to doing. Brother.

Have another drink Chris. It goes down easy.

  13. Pfkad says:

    Mission Accomplished, the sequel!

Sadly, I too have lost all faith in the credibility of this administration. The BS Meter seems about right to me.

  14. Mr. Fusion says:

#30, Good list but you missed one of the most important.

Is he responsible for all those missing socks in my laundry?

  15. Ballenger says:

I doubt torturing this guy was necessary. More than likely they just threatened him with “talk or we’re sending you to a day-spa for a full body wax job”.

Aside from the how or why of the confession, given the unrelenting accusations of media manipulation directed at the Bush White House, timing the release of the statement so that it did not to appear to be a smoke screen, would have made more sense if the intention was to maximize the credibility of Fat Hairy Tony’s statement, if such a thing is possible. Then again, displaying interest in what the largest numbers of Americans think hasn’t been their fort.

  16. Angel H. Wong says:

Imagine all the Bear BDSM footage the US Army has on him.

  17. dd smithe says:

    Wow, another Lee Harvey Oswald!

  18. Meetsy, LOL, you always add a funny slant on the topic…
I know I wouldn’t trust this guy making my gyro.

  19. Mr. Fusion says:

#35, Good point. It doesn’t matter how much faith we can put into the No Torture bit, this administration has lost all it’s credibility with Americans. It wouldn’t matter if he begged them to hear him out 15 minutes after they caught him. We just don’t believe it. The meter is too conservative.

The Bush Administration couldn’t convince anyone that it is light out on a sunny day. To think that they once had 90% approval ratings.

  20. Brew Kline says:

“I was responsible for the 9/11 Operation, from A to Z,” said top Al Qaeda suspect Khalid Mohammed”

THERE ARE NO ALPHABETS IN “9/11″, TURKEY!
