Looks like Apple doesn’t think Bill owns Jobs either. They have it up at hi-res for download for the Apple TV. Almost a frackin’ gig.

Finally watched it, waste of time really. They needed some cranky geeks on hand. Though the revelation about the secret marriage was kind of worth waiting for.

It was great fun to watch. Bill is exactly like that, mind constantly going, and remembers details like RAM allocations from 25 years ago. He is obsessed with technology and will have a hard time letting go.

Steve is a master orchestrator and can keep people leaning forward to hear him. I think he still loves the technology and has had breaks (Apple 1.0, Pixar, Apple 2.0) so the passion is still there. I suspect Bill is burnt out at MS – after a few years of philanthropy he will get back into technology in a new way and surprise everyone.

I think they have genuine affection for each other but I think Steve is going to miss Bill more than the other way around.

If I hear one more “What will the computer look like in 5 years?” questions there could be violence. Don’t let Kara Swisher ever perform an interview in public again – it’s not the first time she’s botched it.

That was neat, I’m not sure owned is the best word but I did feel like Bill had the easier way to go. The response to the question at the end was the best when Gates replied that “Steve is gonna release the transporter”.

That was freakin funny after all the “Some things I can’t talk about” comments

Owned? Two totally different personalities, presided over by awful hosts.

Steve was much more friendly and personably, and obviously is more comfortable being interviewed on camera, Bill however is more detail oriented and technical.

Steves stories were better, Bills responses were more detailed.

There was nothing to win, but a lot of interesting things to listen to.

I don’t know about *owning* anyone. But it was interesting. Gates is obviously not comfortable talking candidly or off script. Jobs is.

But to me it’s the fact that you have in those 2 chairs, 2 men, who have in one way or another been the primary force behind a complete revolution or reshaping of how we communicate with one another and the rest of the world. They didn’t invent the Internet or computors(thanks Al), but they made it what it is today and probably in the near future at least.
Plus, you must have 100 billion bucks sitting on those 2 chairs.

#2 I don’t get it either. Was Don King cut out of the video? I’d like to see a similar clip years after they have both retired, and presided by a better host.
