If this were your three year old daughter you would laugh but be proud at the same time. Why? Because you’d know that she was just starting out playing the trumpet. There would be no misunderstanding in the crowd either because the age is obvious.

This crowd pleaser (I was laughing) may have just started learning the instrument and/or she was just not very skillful at it. Either way, we laugh again. However, there may be a change from when we laughed at a three-year old than with a 23 year-old. In the former there was love; in the latter, a pernicious feeling may have entered the picture, namely, hatred and ridicule. People may not only be laughing from the performance but may be laughing @ the performer.

The woman in the beauty pagent has brought laughter to the world. Yeah, she’s not a great trumpet player but she had the power to make people laugh, and in turn, ease the suffering of a miserable world.

I’m ashamed to admit I watched the whole thing, just knowing the good part was coming. I know we lost three minutes, but this thing looked rehearsed, so somebody lost a whole lot more time than us.
