The posting on YouTube of a clip announcing a school shooting in Finland before it happened shows how self-shot videos have become the favored means for modern killers wanting to get their message across.

Seven children and the school principal were killed today when a fellow pupil opened fire at a school in southern Finland, hours after a clip posted on video sharing Web site YouTube predicted a massacre there. The shooter later died in hospital after shooting himself in the head.

The YouTube video, entitled “Jokela High School Massacre – 11/7/2007,” was posted by a user called Sturmgeist89. “Sturmgeist” means storm spirit in German.

Unless you’re equating “socialist” with “communist”, I’m not sure where you get the idea that Finland “has never been socialist”.

    Rob -

I’m pretty sure that Finland does not have a US-style tort-mafia. So you can breathe easily.

And I’m hoping that you know in which country Yugos were made.

#19 – Didn’t Micheal Moore teach us that the reason we have school shootings was because of our weak gun control laws?

    No.

Try watching the documentary if you want to know.

Gun control laws are impractical where you have a deranged mentality and twisted motivation. Who was living with and caring for this young man? What responsibilities did parents fail to execute? It is the social harmonizing factors that are lacking. Isolated, withdrawn, paranoid-thinking….lack of social and emotional support, are the causal factors.
