Up until few years ago canadian prime minister didnt have any special guards (until he was attacked by some wacko in his home).
But then Canada is not the country that rule the world (or try to)
The bigger you are the more enemies you have.
Kennedy had quite few guards and agents around him when he was shot, and those were the times when America had about billion less enemies than she has today.

It is embarrassing to have an idiot president, but its even more embarassing to not being able to protect your own head of state and have him killed.
Only idiot or true anti-american would want that.

This isn’t really about Dem/Rep, Bush/Clinton bashing…just a general note on HOW much money/effort it takes for the President to take a little vacation.

If you want to raise a bitch, the point would be that sure Clinton & Bush both used the same level of ‘staff’ in travel…but Bush (and Republicans in general) CLAIM to always be for smaller less expensive government, so they SHOULD be using lesser/cheaper travel than the Democrats, otherwise they’ll just bs’ing. So much for their complaining about the costs of government. Funny, actually the number of Federal employees, overall spending doesn’t change whether you elect Democrats or Republicans. When our “lives” were at stake, Bush took 10s of thousands of private sector employees and made them government employees (TSA). So no matter what either party says, when the President leaves office (Democratic or Republican) the government’s budget will be bigger, and the number of Federal employees will be larger.

I believe Bush has spinners on his lowrider limos where Bill and Hillary only had curb-feelers. You can’t see it from the graphic but all his support (secret service) vehicles are identified with fuzzy-dice and shag carpeting dashboards. Bill had another group of 12 nappy-headed-ho’s that he traveled with.
