It is dominated by the Christian right who whole heartedly support Republicans despite during their recent 6 year rule they did diddly squat to advance the Christian Social Conservative agenda, because if the Christians actually got their way they would probably go back to lurking. The Corporatist Neo-Cons (who I put Mitt Romney in which is why I won't be supporting him, regardless of his faith) pretty much hold the Christian Right in contempt, and would brush them off like dandruff on a black shirt if they did not need them to stay in power. #11 you are right
