The headstone is actually not meant to be a memorial for a person. Instead, it’s for animals — all part of a scheme by PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. At first glance, the tombstone looks like any other grave marker. But a closer look at the epitaph reveals a deeper meaning. A seemingly innocuous poem is inscribed on the headstone, but when read vertically; the first letter of each line spells out “KFC Tortures Birds.” The plot purchased by PETA, with living PETA member Matthew Prescott’s name on it, is strategically located near the memorial of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder, Col. Harland Sanders.“We believe that this is directed at Col. Sanders and KFC, and again, if we had known this in advance we would not have permitted this,” said Barr.

When is PETA going to wake up and change tactics. We know our food is tortured we don’t care. These over the top tactics show that they are really just after PR to make $$$.

The state of Virginia is considering naming the PETA animal shelter there as a *slaughter house* because they have euthenized all but 12 of the 3200 dogs given to them for care. When asked how killing the dogs instead of finding them homes, the PETA person said they were better off dead.
These are some sick bastards. My group will not work with them, or allow them to use our facilities.
Here in the UK we call these sorts of people trustifarians: basically, they look like Rastafarians, but they all have a big trust funds so aren’t quite so attuned to the realities of life that the rest of us have to…..
