A Central Florida cab driver who became agitated after demanding payment from a female passenger bit her arm and then sped away, dragging her, according to a Seminole County sheriffs report. |
Rachel Gookin was picked up by a cab driven by Hing Ho Tsang in Orlando on Tuesday at 1:26 a.m. and taken to Wekiva Trail in Seminole County, the sheriffs report stated. As Tsang turned onto Wekiva Trail, he demanded payment and became agitated, the report said. Gookin said she became scared, so she exited the cab, the report stated.
Gookin told Seminole County sheriffs deputies that Tsang grabbed her cell phone from her hand and took off, so she ran after the vehicle and reached into the window in an attempt to retrieve her phone. Gookin said she was bitten on the arm by Tsang, who sped away while her arm was still inside the cab, dragging her as he drove away, the sheriffs report stated. Gookin was able to free her arm and fell to the ground, according to the report.
Seminole County sheriffs deputies said Gookin had abrasions on her shoulder and knee, a lacerated lip and a bruise on her chest.
Gookin went to a nearby home to call authorities, who later caught and arrested Tsang, who was transported to jail.
