This is the way they view politics? That assassination is a viable, if not humorous, political solution? It would be pathetic if weren’t so frightening.

Thanks, Hillary, for making the assassination of a Presidential candidate the conversation de jour.

Now all we need is for some whackjob out there to see this as their personal message from God.

I can’t believe that not only are some people giving voice to this, but they actually have the audacity to do so in such a cavalier and heartless manner.

I don’t care what side of the political aisle you come from, assassination has no place in political discourse anywhere, anytime. Not even the most outspoken Conservatives on this blog would even disagree with that. When it really comes right down to it, the idea of assassinating a political figure is equally appalling to all of us.

Pedro, the only point you have is under your hat. To whit, that movie you linked to was hardly a celibration of the “Death of a President”, it was a film who’s central premise was that such a transition of power would be disasterous for our nation.

It was an anti-assasination movie.

Do try to watch movies that you use to argue with in the future, it’s so sad to see a person gored on his own point.

No, given the record of our past several assassinations, if Obama is ‘lone nutted’ I’ll assume that its the Texas establishment that is at fault. In light of the last few deathbed confessions (which I tend to believe) Johnson whacking Kennedy was a coup, and the corrupt Texas money men essentially took over the union; Bush Sr. nearly whacking Reagan by the hand of the son of an oil man was merely reinforcing that point.

If they kill Obama they will stage a ‘race riot’ to go along with it; even if it is only 12 actors in black face in a closeup, it is enough to enact Directive 51, and then America is over.
