Sky News reporting Obama uses term “New World Order” in speech

Either he said it or he didn’t, why is Sky News saying he did? My guess is they got it from this excerpt:

Obama said:

“…I come to Berlin as so many of my countrymen have come before. Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen – a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world.”

They’re saying it because Sky News and Fox News are both owned by Newscorp. Draw your own conclusions as to what that means.

Obama’s admission that he is a citizen of the world is important, but even a more telling indicator comes from his many references to tearing down walls.

He speaks of physical walls, but also uses the word wall as an euphemism for borders. When you strip away borders you remove a countries ability for self-rule and autonomy.

His wish will not happen overnight, but once this begins it can only lead to opening the door for the eventual position of a one-world ruler.

Probably you American folks just don’t get it on the news, but Obama is having a reception here in Europe as he’s the next President of the US. (heck, if the EU manages to ever create the job, he can be President of the EU, just by judging the popularity.)

It is just a lame smear. The airwaves are full of them all the way around. The reality is more captured in how yesterday’s Berlin speech went down with the various kinds of people. I watched as our flags were waved in celebration for one of the first times in my adult life. I was reminded of the way my parents used to talk about how the world viewed the US. How we were leaders and admired and the envy of so many. Most of my life I’ve known us to be generally disliked or resented. Our flag is on fire most of the time another national is waving it.

But then the news agencies get back to the US and ask Mr. ‘merikun what he thinks that such a big turn-out would react this way. That kind man replies that he “doesn’t care what they think of us” because “if they don’t like what we do we’ll put a boot in their ass”…capturing exactly what the problem is.

I’m all for, ahem, “putting a boot in their ass” if it ever comes to a conflict of any real merit. But, in my life the boots come into play when we simply want more than our share or want everything OUR way, without question. It is no wonder no one wants to play with us, and some want to get together and teach us what for.

It sure would be nice to explain to my kids why I call myself a patriot. Right now they are way too smart not to see how insane that really is given what we do as opposed to what we think we are saying.

Thanks for relating that Eric. I suspected Sky Angel of being in bed with Fox, as they count Fox News among their choice of “religious” picks. Isn’t that a crock?! I have no idea what the intent of your “pop quiz” is about. If it is to suggest that Obama wants all the world to be a better place then great, I’m all for that. If it is because not once has Obama said “Fuck the poor, screw those unfortunate not to earn $500,000 a year” then hey, good for him.

In fairness, I don’t know all the words for “We are the World”. It was a great concert though and I did donate towards it. But geeze, that was over 20 years ago. Were you one of those picketing outside with signs suggesting the poor blighters could just bloody well starve to death?
