South American doctors are trying to find out the reason behind the hefty weight of an 11-month-old baby.
The baby weighs 28kgs (nearly 62lbs) – that is the average weight of an eight-year-old in Colombia, where he was born.
The baby’s mother, Milena Orosco de Agudelo, says he began to balloon when he was just two months old.
He just looks fatter than hell to me… but what do I know.

Pseudohypoparathyroidism – also known as Albrights Hereditary Osteodystrophy. A rare genetic disorder which growth ceases earlier than usual, sometimes by age 12, and this happens because their “bone-age” is advancing at a faster rate than their chronological age.
The traits include obesity, short stature, round face & short neck, subcutaneous (under the skin) calcifications, brachydactyly (short hand bones, especially the bone below the 4th finger), dimples can replace knuckles on affected digits …
My grandson was diagnosed a few months ago. He’s 2 years old and weighs 55 lbs. His 4 year old sister weighs 36 lbs – just as this child’s older sibling is normal weight and size. It took 22 months and numerous doctor visits and emailing every endocrin & genetic specialist we could find on the web before we finally were given a correct diagnosis. There is absolutely NOTHING the mother did wrong – his body doesn’t metabolize and burn the calories properly because of the parathyroid problem.
What is the treatment for this disease?
#22 A few months in Africa will do.
#22 – hhopper

It could be gigantism,a genetic disorder caused by your genes.I would ask your doctor about it.They will know more about it.God Bless.
I dont think that is a joking matter at all there is obviously something very wrong with hat poor baby i think its deeper than he get em on a diet. Unless your a parent that has a child that has health issues then i dont think it is right to make comments like that. Thats just a sad situation.
