HOSPITAL managers have called in an exorcist after shaken workers complained they are being terrified by a GHOST. Spooked staff at Derby’s new Royal Hospital claimed a black-clad figure wearing a cloak was stalking wards and corridors. Now chiefs at the £334million NHS site are to summon a local priest to see off the “spirit”. Petrified staff were briefed on the spooky goings-on in an email from bosses.

Senior manager Debbie Butler wrote: “I’m not sure how many of you are aware that some members of staff have reported seeing a ghost.

“I’m taking it seriously as the last thing I want is staff feeling uneasy at work.” Ms Butler sent the message after workers at the new £334million Royal Derby Hospital claimed they had seen a cloaked figure dressed in black roaming wards and corridors. She added: “I don’t want to scare anyone any more than necessary, but felt it was best I made you all aware of the situation and what we are doing about it. “I’ve spoken to the Trust’s chaplain and she is going to arrange for someone from the cathedral to exorcise the department.” Sources at the Royal – built on the site of the Derby City General Hospital – said the exorcism was expected within days. One said: “There have been dozens of sightings over recent weeks and people are scared witless. “Several have seen a male figure cloaked from head to toe in black darting between rooms and through walls – especially in departments near the morgue.

“It’s affected morale so much that bosses decided they had to act.” Exorcisms in England must be pre-approved by a bishop. A spokesman for the Bishop of Derby said: “Any case such as this is put to the Bishop.

And here I am thinking that only Catholic Priests had the authority over demons.

#30 In the end the US is screwed. We moved away from everything that made us the most prosperous and free people on Earth. We will go like the UK has…

We’re fine!I don’t understand how you can say that about the UK…

What’s the American Media like on the UK?
I have noticed recently that the BBC are becoming more like Fox news, wheras they used to have integrity.

#32. LOL. I have friends over there. Most of the news we get is about the Royals or some PM decision. Nothing of substance really.

I don’t know about the BBC, (I do visit the site everyday) I try to find out from friends what’s the real deal.

If there are any currencies left after this mess you should keep the Pound…

  4. jimbo says:

Yeah, that was my POA, but it seems as though our intelligent government wish to print some more money….not much more, just enough to render the currency worthless..

The BBC website is quite different to the television broadcasts…much more crap on screen, presented to us by what I can only describe as waxen talk-show hosts with a knack for autoq following.

The site contains alot more actual journalism, with unknown columnists presenting the news as opposed to the watered down hypocritical layout of the TV schedule.

They may not be around forever though.., recently the BEEb has been snubbing its license payers, refusing to run Gaza appeal ads and paying exorbitant amounts of cash to tv personalities that we just don’t like anymore.

Channel 4 is a much better pundit. They take a truthful approach to everything they show, News isn’t afraid to uncover lies and push politicians to the max, and their regular programming has broken alot of taboos.

    Basically in American terms;

    BBC – Republicans
    Ch4 – Anarchists(to a certain level)
