An embarrassed father has said he was shocked when his teenage daughter returned home from a sexual health workshop with a six-inch rubber penis.
Kevin Neal, 46, father of teenage mother Kizzy, who previously hit headlines when she fell pregnant at the age of 13, said he was “bemused” by the NHS trust’s decision to dish out the spongy penises.
Miss Neal was one of a group of young mothers who volunteered to attend a workshop given by the Chlamydia screening service at the specialist home she lives in with her 22-month-old son.
Mr Neal, from Paignton, in Devon, told the Herald Express: “I am not prudish, and we more than most families fully appreciate the value of tackling these issues head on.
“But it amuses and bemuses me to think that a group of healthcare professionals have spent time and come up with a presentation designed to target teenage girls that would include a replica rubber penis to be given away as a free gift.

Paddy-o, the cold hard facts say you are nearly entirely wrong. Not only are your made up statistics wildly off base, but the trend is opposite your expectations. Between 1972 and now all women accross all demographics are having fewer babies.
Did you notice that huge spike down in women under the age of 13 the 1990′s when sex-ed became part of early childhood education?
Did you notice the general increase in teen pregnancy when they taught it only as biology in the 80′s? Do you see the trend slowing down in 2000′s when they reduced the emphasis on birth control and increased abstinence only education???
I hate to say it, but Paddy-o and MikeN are entirely wrong on this issue.

If you noticed, GregA posted a link to a study where he got his information. He validated what he said and it is easy for us to see that. Your reference was not linked and we have no idea of where they came from or when.
Specifics will always trump generalities when it comes to facts.
