One of the blogs quotes a Biden affidavit from 2007. That predates the action by the SEC. This sounds more like a hatchet job on Joe Biden.

Before that the V-P’s main office was in the Senate building. The Navel Observatory was always considered a residence and although it may have office facilities, was never considered an office.

The current V-P office is in the West Wing of the White House, a few doors from the Oval Office. (Although I earlier said next door, it is actually a few doors away)

The V-P chooses his own furniture, including the desk. (BTW, so does the President even though almost all continue with the same Oval Office desk as Truman.) Several V-Ps have kept their desks (as allowed if they pay the nominal cost) and other furniture and a new one is ordered for the incoming V-P.

Dan Quayle kept much of his office furniture. (As far as I know he did pay) I don’t know if Gore or Cheney kept their desks. So at the most, any V-P desk would only have Gore and Cheney’s signatures. I can see Gore keeping his desk but not Cheney, for some reason.

The V-P’s executives and assistants are housed in the Old Executive Office Building, as is a ceremonial office where the V-P greets visitors and has photo-ops. That though is not the V-P’s office by any stretch. It was also heavily damaged in a 2007 fire and was refurbished.

So therefore it is impossible for you to have seen the V-P’s desk in the “Old Executive Office Building”.

The Marines do not guard the Old Executive Office building, that is a function of the Secret Service, Uniformed Division. There is very little similarity between the SSUD and Marines uniforms. The SSUD are also often referred to as the White House Police as they do have police duties and powers.

So once again Cow-Patty is shown to be a poser.
