John. We know you love food and waxing eloquent about eating but could you please stop stuffing your mouth during the show and act like an adult with manors.
Its only 90 minutes out of the day.

You think its fashionable or something to slosh chewed-up grub mixed with spit-juice on air? I know its "New Media" but there is a reason this rule exists. Put a microphone up to your mouth and eat. Then play it back with headphones, if you have any.

Its fucking disgusting and rude and its actually a crass F U to the audience. The audience you beg to give you money weekly.

Just stop it. Please! How many times do we have to ask? You don't eat on other shows.

If you are going to eat on air then why not eat some spicy Mexican food and put the mic into the toilet while you squirt/flush it out the other end.

The artwork is right on target from a remark in the show -- two to the head.

I'm all for new techniques and new ideas for cooking. The geekiness of "molecular gastronomy" is kind of interesting but perhaps a little pretentious. Sous Vide, as seen on Iron Chef, is like any chef using Fugu for sushi...the idea of using it introduces a greater potential for problems. Besides, eating veal that seems partially digested (as John puts it) seems pretty repulsive.

In this case, a genius like Nathan Myhrvold might be in over his head since he can't be bothered to observe basic food handling standards.

Anyway, great show guys. I hope Adam is well (considering his understandably ambiguous statement at the beginning of the show).

Gordon Ramsay's claim that it was "sous vide" not "boil-in-a-bag" is nothing mre than PR an BS. He's covering his butt. Ramsay has a history of deception, from his catching fish to Bramley's Apples.

John is right about one thing. That style of cooking is a good way to get food poisoning.
