Lives in basement

Bedford School Board Member Living with Parents Gets Scolded for Not Cleaning Room | Cleveland Leader — Oh brother.

An Ohio man who says he was arguing with his adult son over a messy bedroom is now admitting that he may have gone a bit too far when he called 911. Andrew Mizsak called the emergency line complaining that his 28-year-old son, who happens to be a member of the Bedford school board, threw a plate of food and made a fist at him when he was told to clean his room.

The elder Andrew Mizsak is reported to have said: “Andrew is 270 pounds and he can’t fight him, that they do everything for Andrew and he doesn’t even pay rent.”

The police report also says that: “Andrew was sent to his room to clean it. He was crying uncontrollably and stated he would comply.”

His father declined to press charges on the basis that he did not want to ruin his son’s political career.

Political career? Cripes.

#11 What, the “worked for Kerry” thing not enough of a clue for ya?

  2. Great American says:

    #20 Hey Fizzle!

Heck yah I do but only if you show up big boy. All you have to do is leave your basement room of your mother’s house, get on your recumbent bike and meet us there.

  3. Randin says:

    Oh shit, it’s comic-book guy!

  4. orangetiki says:

I always knew becoming a teacher always screamed ” I have no ambitions in life ” But this guy takes it to a whole new level.

Also can we criminalize (or at least impose fines for ) using 911 for non emergency? I am sure that will free up the lines a bit

  5. Traaxx says:

Oh well, you should look on YouTube there are lots of stupid 911 calls. It does make me wonder just how dependent we are on the NannyState to solve our problems. I usually think of the Government as the problem and hence the last place to call, obviously this guy isn’t part of this thinking.

    Whatever…………
    Traaxx

  6. Improbus says:

    @Traaxx

The Government has to take care of everything nowadays because if you take care of it yourself, with a beat down, they will convict you for assault, turn you into a felon and send you to prison.

  7. Benjamin says:

Living at home in the basement would not be fun. It is far better to find your own place, even if it is just an apartment, than to have to live at home after you’ve been to college.

    He’s my hero.

  9. Mr. Fusion says:

    #27, Benjamin,

Ah, the rational voice of experience to sooth the curiosity of those of us not living the moment.

I don’t know if I should be happy our house doesn’t have a basement.

  10. Joe says:

Kidding aside, it sounds like he has some sort of mental disorder that keeps him from being able to live on his own.

Then again, he is a late gen X’er…

    #14 nimby,

Gay Dems don’t have to flaunt around pretending to be bastions of moralistic family values *couglarrycraig*

  12. Common_Sense says:

Wow – you guys are pathetic. Can’t we all just agree that this guy is a weenie? His political affiliation isn’t even relevant to the story. That he was a campaigner of any prominence just goes to show that this guy ought to have grown up enough to avoid… well, this kind of life. As if which side he campaigned for has any bearing on anything.

Can’t we all just laugh at him together as a bipartisan measure? Sheesh.

“His father declined to press charges on the basis that he did not want to ruin his son’s political career. ”

That ship, sir, has decidedly sailed.

    That is all.

  13. OvenMaster says:

Why the hell isn’t he paying rent, or room and board to his father? Lesson Number One in life: you don’t live anywhere — even at home in the basement — for free.

  14. meetsy says:

This guy is a numbskull, his father is a jerk. What in the HELL is the deal about daddy-o telling his loser son to “clean his room” (if the son hasn’t learned how to clean his room by now, he’s not going to), and why is this crazy adult writing his resume like it’s war and peace?
They’re both defective genetics. Not news.
