Water on both sides and about a 6-8 foot crock right at the edge. Eyes open (his or its-mine too!). I stopped and thought about it. I know they can outrun me for 50 feet or so. Go back or go forward? I went forward, but wasn't happy about it. Bears in the campsite, sharks/barracuda in the water. Nature is wonderful, until you meet those top predators. Jail means nothing to them.
