Maybe it was staged and maybe bnot but even I will give him credit for a simple, nice gesture.
Now… as for the return of the “I’m having a stroke” editor….ARGH!!!!!!!
How is it that the wing nuts even manage to turn this into fodder for their hatred of a president with a brain?
It’s just a cute little nothing of a non-story. It makes our president seem a bit more personal. Why must you make it into something ugly?
And yes Dallas, it is nice to have a president who can connect with people. We had a vice president who connected with people previously, but he only used buckshot as the connector, which is a tad different somehow.
Sadly, Scott, you have it exacty right. These pitiful populist politically correct imitations of Brown Shirts roaming the streets of discourse – have nothing to offer – even unto themselves.
Which is why they sit by the wayside of history watching it move on past their tawdry cul-de-sac. Crying in their beer. Whining to their buddy on the next barstool.
I’m sure Obama will be blamed for inspiring a nation of scofflaw children to skip school, but one thing I noticed was that he displayed a bit of multitasking skill. If it were me, I probably would have asked the guy to repeat the question because I was too busy writing the note.
If our children grow up to be anarchists thumbing their noses at authority, outlawing school prayer was the first step, and this presidential pardon for skipping school was the clincher.

Now, now, Bush started having little league baseball games at the White House. He connected. He just lost his way on the way to Iraq.
Wow you’d think they couldn’t screw up something as simple as an HTML textarea box. But they did.
[WE didn't screw up anything. The new version of WordPress instigated the problem. We're working on. We don't like it any better than you do. - ed.]
@19 LOL

ok, there’s really nothing wrong with the editor if you just don’t look at what you are typing
#19, how did you do that?
Hannity sounds like it might be a name, but Cavuto and Rove? Then again I can’t believe Kennedy or Reagan either.

Assuming the note has some monetary value, who legally owns the note? the child or the teacher
How is it that true believers even manage to turn this into fodder for their love of a president?

Cute note.
Didn’t several here bash Bush 43 for reading to kids on 9/11.

This editor really sucks. What’s the deal?
Cool!

JCD pays peanuts and gets monkey.
Anyway, use NoScript to shut off JavaScript for dvorak.org and the editor is back to normal.
Regan? You mean Reagan’s old Treasury Secratary, Donald?
#35, Jag,
Thanks, that seems to fix the problem.
#37 – Mr. Fusion
No problem.
.Is it 2012 yet? There is no way this guy is getting re-elected.
I think it was COOL what he did.
