Would the rest of the world also have a moral right to kill of great parts of Europe for collaboration with the US empire? Most likely, if an “eye-for-eye” logic were to be employed. All of us have to hope for no-one to actually be doing that. But so you are quite right that the US is not the only big killing machine, it’s just the biggest one out there. How many Iraqi civilians have been killed by western/Us occupation in relation to westerners being killed in 9/11? Is it 100:1? or more like 1000:1?
Your logic that everybody just loves the US and gives their soldiers flowers is clearly contradicted by the fact that the US, with the greatest military power for any country to ever have, isn’t even able to win two tiny territories (Iraq & Afghanistan), while Spain, England, France, the Soviet Union, etc. were able to hold great chunks of the world with much smaller fire power.
@Nimby: Seeing your other two examples of countries with horrible things happening are Columbia and South Africa, I hope you are aware that both of these are also US allies.

@JimR: You want to know what people are being lumped together under the category “terrorists”: well, anyone who the US elite doesn’t seem to like get that title. Doesn’t really matter if they have any connection whatsoever to Osama Bin Laden & co. Sadam Hussein’s regime was such a case. The countless cases of US spy planes picking up people across Europe is another. Believe it or not, but no-one is just a ‘terrorist’ without a purpose of some kind or other.
