Not too surprising. Coleman lost his last chance in the recount when he agreed to count ballots that he was arguing in court were invalid and shouldn’t be counted. Umm, Senator, if you think they are invalid and should be thrown out, then why did you agree to count them?

Seriously though, I listened to Franken quite a bit when he was on Air America, and read one of his books. He’s no idiot. Minnesota could have done FAR worse (Coleman), and they have, in fact, a legitimate dumbass nutjob, Michele Bachmann in the House. That woman is high entertainment, and crazy.

Al plans to fly under the radar for a while, obviously. He’ll be fine until he has to confront of the lying liars he wrote about, which includes a few senators.

But maybe now he can force Peter Paul to make an Almond Joy with dark chocolate and white coconut. Yum!

Good to see Franken get the seat. Imagine that- Harvard grad, cum laude, majored in political science.
With the ongoing Michele Bachmann train wreck I was starting to wonder about Minnesota. Al Franken’s win reassures me that not all residents there are crazy or mentally handicapped.

The country is no longer on the wrong track that your NeoCon puppetboy Bush had us on. Things are not perfect but better and improving. Cowards like Hannity, Rush, Beck, O’Reilly hide behind their microphones and fancy editing, at least Frankin was brave enough to face the voters and tie/beat an incumbent Senator. If you are an incumbent Senator and fail to win re-election you are a LOSER. It shouldn’t even be close.

WTG Al now make us proud or at least don’t suck like Norm did.

You guys are clueless. Obama is in the process of ruining this country and now he has Franken it will be even easier for him. What has happened in the last 6 months goes way past what party you are a member of and if continued will be a fundamental change in the USthat we all grew up in. In Ancient Times, the Roman Senate made a horse made a Senator during the rule of emperor Caligula (to more easly pass desired legislation). Therefore, I see no reason why Al Franken can’t be made a U.S. Senator for our “Dear Leader” Barack Obama. He is certainly the man we deserve.
