Apparently “There’s an app for that”. He mentions that he used TimeLapse, available in the iTunes App Store. It’s received really horrible reviews on the App Store, yet everyone on YouTube loves it.
Since the iPhone came up, people suddenly realized that you can have a camera on a phone. My God! It will change journalism, how movies are made and give teenagers more ways to uncomfortably share their personal life.
It’s cool. And the apps are a plus. Plus I won’t get too excited till I see a US carrier release an 8 or 9 megapixel camera.
Apple iPhone 3G S – 32 GB = $299
iPhone Multi Function Dock Cradle with USB Adapter = $12.99
Getting your Mom to drop you off early at the Apple Store = $0
Bringing your new phone home leaving in front of the window for 3 solid days… Priceless!
and why exactly do we care is it “iPhone” or any other crapPhone video?
The title should just say “Time Lapse Video”.
Since when do we always indicate “Kodak video”, “Lumix video” “HTC PocketPC video” etc?
So damn STUPID, Gasparrini.
Its either cool or sucky video, that’s all there is to it.
I guess you were “amazed” the iphone toy can take time-lapse videos, hence the indication it was made with iphone… but if you would have looked around, you’d know there are many better toys around that could do that and much more for very long time (like copy/paste – “newest innovation” from Apple, har har har)
This is not an iPhone time lapse video. If you look you see a reflection of the camera in the glass every so often and this is not an iPhone.
Actually, look at 0:35. It’s an iPhone.
How was this done?
Amazing!

Where’s Dvorak?

the reflection is very professional.

Curiously, the HD version is an MPEG4 1280×720 H.264 file. Was this upscaled afterwards, or does the iPhone 3GS shoot in 720?
Borrrrrrring. There’s an app for that too.

The iPhone has a 3MP camera… so it will easily make 720p time lapse video. (Since it’s not using the video camera, it’s using the still camera)
