#48 said: ummm yeah. that’s what science does. what is it supposed to do? come up with a theory that is proven wrong and just give up and say “god did it?”

::sigh:: -you have ears but do not listen.

..ah no there is no god per se..

(however, i have no doubt that higher beings than us exist, and that these beings may very likely be responsible for the creation or evolutionary path of humans. -you have to be quite ignorant to think otherwise, esp when you take into account, the whole "missing link" issue we have when trying to trace our evolutionary path back to the great apes.

IMO, it is quite obvious that some genetic tampering had to be done to create us.
(given "the missing link" issue)

However, to think that a "god" created us
is in his image etc, is just plain absurd
and serves to demonstrate how religion
has hindered and corrupted man's
imagination and understanding of the
world he lives in. it has caused us to
think as if we live inside a very small box, of which are the kings of, when in fact we
are part of a boundless universe and are
kings of nothing.

It is my opinion that either higher beings that have a proper understanding of how genetics work in relation to "universal energy", "created us" OR, -given that at our atomic core, we operate on some very simple principles of electromagnetics and resonance (harmonics), such that when the solar system passes through an area of space that has a vastly different energy signature, in a few short years(maybe decades?), extreme [resonant] changes can effect the arrangement (or pattern) of DNA to such a degree that a new species will "suddenly emerge" (relative to the timeline) that is similar, but also quite different than the organism's original "design" (ie: ape compared to man)
(see the link to the russian article below)

We may be lucky enough to experience some of these effects within the next decade as we pass through the galactic plane's magnetic ribbon.

-Time will tell (and soon)

ok, back to the original topic for a moment:

what i stated was that they come up with unproven/unprovable theories [that seem may plausible] and then use them as fact.

once they build a whole "science society" on them, they are loath to even consider any new "real" evidence that may come to light simply because [in one instance] they would be made to look like fools. -esp if this evidence had already been debated decades earlier and dismissed as gibberish nonsense.

if you take the time (note: i am some 3-4 months into to "unlearning" what i was taught about the universe in order to understand fully, it's electrical properties and operation) to study The Electric Universe, you will see it makes FAR more sense than anything you or I was ever taught about the universe in the past.

It also almost seamlessly joins the core operating principles of Life as we know it
(and the atomic structures its based upon) to
that of of the universe. -meaning everything really operates in a chorus of [supporting-harmonics] harmony, rather than disassociated entities, as modern science would like us
to believe. (the interaction of "everything" is much simpler than you think)

if you study how the russians (and other peoples) view the (science) world, you will see that here in America we are almost completely misguided in the way we approach science, the universe and all that's in it.

A few days ago i found a 1 hour video of The Electric Universe theory that i feel will illustrate how wrong we are in the understanding of it's operation.

Before you watch that, read this short article
on the Russian View of Planetary Changes:

LINK: http://awaken.cc/awaken/pagesE/library/ePlanetChanges.html

it will explain some of what i am talking
about and also give a hint as to what i mean
by energy effecting DNA & evolution.

Then watch the Electric Universe Video:

LINK: Thunderbolts of The Gods (Electric Universe) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4773590301316220374

then after that, watch this 1hr video explaining antigravity and especially
note how the "harmonics" generated by the
sun determines how planets (and life) may
come to be, but also, how harmonics plays a role in where there orbits can be.

LINK: Antigravity
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8222679614108378695&ei=zq5bSsvGBsqDlgeBkfyoDg&q=%22stan+deyo%22

(some of what is said in the antigravity) video is a little off, but overall it will help you to understand the true nature of
the universe.)

please note that this requires you to put
aside what you were taught about how the
planets (and many other things) operate
and have an open mind to new (actually
very old) evidence. -of which
most is flat our wrong.

I have no doubt that events about to unfold
in the coming months and next 5+ years will validate all of which i have stated here.

-Starting with the crazy (electrical and
geomagnetic weather/storms) that we will see this summer, will be with us for quite some time.

keep on eye on YouTube (and other sites) for videos of these effects, as i suspect most of it will be spun in the mainstream media as man-made weather effects caused by our CO2
(global warming)etc. -at least until they can no longer get away with it.

-s

As an aside, in the last 20min of antigravity
video, some what he shows actually explains
why are are experiencing a large increase in earthquakes and volcanoes in the last century
and in particular, the last decade [and the next decade to come]

What... you want us to look to animals to find a competent aeronautical program when we can't even find it in humans?

Children, please. There is now a definite trail in the fossil record showing flight developing from dinosaur plumage for warmth and decoration evolving into wings. There are early fossils of dinosaurs with patches of feathers who were incapable of flight, then ornithominids (birdlike feathered dinosaurs), and finally flying dinosaurs.

Here's a good synopsis of the theory from a recent museum show.

Irrelevant. Using current data on energy requirements, map out evolution of flight and competent aeronautical program in in animals. Can't be done.

Eideard actually believes in interspecies evolution! Against all efforts to artificially create a new species! People have irradiated animals to accelerate the process with no results. People for centuries have genetically manipulated our domesticated animals with no results. It frankly doesn't happen. But his Humanist religion blinds him to the truth.

Reminds me of Alfred Wegener who proposed the theory that the continents drifted. He was renounced by the whole scientific and philosophical establishments. Not that it confuted their faiths; it just didn't fit into their world views. Forty years after he died his theory was finally accepted.

To those of you arguing the evolution of flight: don't forget that even plants have evolved methods of primitive flight. (Well, gliding, but they gotta start somewhere.) Seeds that float upon the wind (those little helicopter ones... have no idea what they're called) and those that fly off with a stiff breeze (Dandelions).

As to the original post/cartoon - I can't wait to use the Maleus Maleficarum as precedent on a case.

#47 I'm not aware any of our arguments changed...particularly about transitional life forms...

They still don't exist.

If you dispute that, cite em.

As the variety of life alive today is astounding, it would follow there are lots of them...

I don't recall one incontrovertible form.

What I do see is lack of critical thinking, supposing one form comes from another, because of similarity in some organs...as we all eat, breath, drink similar things, that however, is to be expected.

#17 The fossil record, lacking transitional life forms from one "kind" to another, support creation, as its impossible each kind evolved by itself.

Whenever [modern] scientists can’t explain something, they create new words and theories out of thin air along with mathematical models to support them

ummm yeah. that's what science does. what is it supposed to do? come up with a theory that is proven wrong and just give up and say "god did it?"

Alfred, Patrick:

Debating science with those who show a woefully inadequate understanding of it is utterly pointless, but here goes.

Perhaps some of the information here will help you, but I doubt it.

I am rather amused that the religious types are always changing their arguments. It used to be popular to say "Where are the transitional fossils between water and land?" Recent discoveries have put that argument to rest, but every time evolution says "But wait, there's more!", the creationists are too ignorant to understand it, let alone actually learn and change their beliefs.

I guess they feel it's their goddamn right to be ignorant living south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
