This has got to be the dumbest story ever put on TV. Two hobos somehow got hold of a dead shark they wanted to sell to a fish monger and these idiots are making a Federal case out of it and covering it as important news. Hey dipshits, there is REAL crime in Miami! Or is that too dangerous to cover?

  1. bobbo, knowing details count says:

It was a LOAN shark. Changes everything.

  2. Walter Cronkite says:

Sounds like a Fox news top story to me.

  3. Daniel says:

It beats talking about the large community of convicted sex offenders who are told they must become homeless and live under a bridge. Because you know… they are safer to society if they live all together in one spot where they’ll never be able to actually get ahead in life.

  4. andrewj says:

You can thank the cell phone provider that sold the lawyer a cellphone with a camera.
Without the cell phone pic that story was dead in the water.

  5. deowll says:

It was a just for fun story up Mr. Uptight and anal retentive.

They don’t have to spend all their time talking about how the Democratic Congress and President are in a race to see how fast they can bankrupt the country. Lighten up.

  6. randomspaces says:

“The shark was found laying in the street.” What was it laying? Eggs? The shark was found lying in the street.

  7. hhopper says:

I don’t know… I think two bums carrying a huge shark on a train is news… not that important, but news.

  8. George says:

    Land shark!
(Where’s Chevy Chase when you need him?)

  9. froesei says:

If I didn’t know better, I would have thought I was watching a story from “The Onion”

  10. ECA says:

I find it interesting that Any of the main predators of the sea/ocean can be considered endangered..
It impresses me that Mankind has stretched his mighty hands across this planet to the point that a Major predator from a water environment is endangered.

If I said that In the whole world, that mankind has killed off, over 70% of the creatures of this planet(not including bugs and insects), HOW far off am I?

Its estimated that by 2012, that the Tuna will be killed off to the point of NON-recovery. And many others will soon follow.

  11. JamesFromCanada says:

And they say that Canadian immigration is lax… although, as I understand it, if the shark wasn’t caught on the way from Cuba, he is ok to stay…

  12. McCullough says:

This blog has officially jumped the shark.

#10. What have you done with ECA?

  13. xeniar says:

Ha, between Michael Jackson’s bedroom pictures and the shark story, I’ll take the shark story any day… Fox rocks the world with quality journalism, wondering when Rush Limbaugh will jump on this hot new story…

  14. KillerWhale says:

Jesus Christ it’s Florida and it’s a shark. Check the internal temp and then lets slice it up. Looks tasty.

  15. Rakiah says:

This just goes to show you, if there were more lax gun laws for sharks this would never have happened. Sharks have a 3 day waiting period to purchase handguns and because of this, look what happened to him, dying slowly of asphyxiation over a 24 hour period.

Freedom for all Americans NOW, even aquatic ones!!!!

  16. Raff says:

I would not like snakes on a plane,
I do not like sharks on a train.
I do not like them here or there,
I do not like them anywhere.

  17. Gotalife says:

Everyone here needs to get a life!

  18. duddits says:

It is about average for local news. I have not watched local news for so long I can’t recall when it was any better. Sixty seconds is my pain limit now. Lawyers! Maybe the guys w/ shark will steal his jacket one day.

  19. JWR says:

Actually there IS no crime in Miami. Dont you watch the CSI show? That’s REAL, man! They can really doo ALL that stuff with lasers and holographic autopsies and “digital enhancment” of a reflected image off of someone’s wedding band!

  20. MikeR says:

    Ain’t news – unless the shark had a laser…
