BRANDON, FL — A local church switched from Pepsi products to Coca-Cola, but it’s not because they don’t like the taste of the product.
The Bell Shoals Baptist church in Brandon got rid of the products as part of the American Family Association’s boycott.
Church Member Terri Kemple says he convinced the church to join the boycott. “Pepsi is advocating for the normalization of homosexual behavior in our culture,” said Kemple.

I like the budding Nazi media slanted the coverage by asking bystanders what they think about Pepsi’s corporate giving practices…as though anyone in the USA knows, save their tax lawyers, IRS, and any citizen who decides to investigate.

I don’t believe this. However Disney seems to, with its Gay Pride day at Disney World (if they still are doing it). And whoever runs American Idol must have a thing for lesbians, to replace Abdul with Ellen. She’s got nothing going for her, talent wise, except being gay. When she was just a standup comic, I thought she was awful. Coming out of the closet, was the only salvation of her career. And still, her first Tv show was a flop. But they gave her a talk show, after Rosie O’Donnell quit. And now her little prancing ass pretense at fame, OKs her as a talent judge? I would boycott American Idol as a contestant. Until she’s gone. She knows less than Hasslehoff. Way to ruin a show, Yeah, it needs more gay representation. NOT!

I confess I’ll still buy pepsi…as both coke and pepsi probably supported the same anti proposition 8 organizations in California…they are both pro gay rights as far as I know.
If the church wanted publicity…they got it.
Too bad they didn’t switch to brands not so well known, innocent of anti proposition 8 activities…then their boycott would be real.

I wish my employer had given us condoms. I tried using Coke as douche and as you all can see, I ended up with a real douche.
I just can never recall walking down a beach while drinking a Pepsi and seeing some guys hairy ass and thinking, “man, I’d really like some of that!”

Taste is subjective. I think Jay Leno is one of the least funny people alive but he still gets work. And Ellen’s sitcom was on for 5 seasons, and DeGeneres didn’t come out until the 4th season so she seemed to do ok when people assumed she liked guys. I’m sure there are lots of actors out there who would love to have such a “flop.”

There are no family values in religion anymore. Their pastors are getting sex from other men, they cheat on their spouses and even like young boys. Nice family values there.
Do I really need to point out that ALL soft drinks are near POISON! ANY soft drink, even the so called diet ones, cause the body to make fat when the unused sugar isn’t burned up. Of course, there are other contributing factors in this process but consuming as much sugar as is in even one 12oz can of Pepsi or Coke can significantly cause an average American to gain fat. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, fat is eventually what kills!
So can’t we all just agree that drinking Pepsi, Coke or any soft drink is about as “normal” as homosexuality is?!
FYI: The biological purpose of sex is to propagate a species. That simply can’t be done if the two life forms are of the same species and of the same sex. And unless we’re talking about earth worms, certain reptiles or some other similar animal, homosexuality is simply biologically “abnormal.” However, this doesn’t mean we should turn away from homosexuals. We just need to understand that they are “different” – and might prefer Pepsi.
So is the church sponsored by Coke? I can see their vans having Coca-Cola stickers on the front fenders.
