    If you want this squirrel to live well as a wild squirrel you are going to have to let it forge for it’s self.

    Read up on squirrel behavior and let it go at it own it’s own, imho

    He is in the wild. That’s my front yard. It’s less than 100 yards from his birth place. The way I see it, if not for me he’d be dead. So he’s ahead of the game no matter what happens.

    All I am saying, your squirrel is young and may be able to learn basic forging skills. This may not be the case, when it matures.

    I agree, you have physically saved it’s life, but isn’t the life of self sustaining squirrel preferable?
