Bobbo, what is the point of willing to falsify, if the real footage shows roughly the same thing?
If the rally only had 1000 people, then it would make sense to accuse them of falsifying with a picture of a large rally. But here the rally is roughly the same number as what they claimed, with Bachmann saying 20-45 thousand and WaPo saying 10 thousand, which is about the same variation we get for every protest.
If it has to be explained to you, you aren’t smart enough to begin with.
Hannity lied. Bachman lied. Beck lied.
BTW, most of those at the Bachman event were bused in for the event, it wasn’t spontaneous. Both events attracted all the wackos from around the country. So for a while, at least, we didn’t have any wackos in our area.
#23–Well Mike, I would have said what Fusion did and since I disdain repetition, I’ll phrase the same point this way: It would be like saying you are totally full of shit when the real estimate is that only the last 4-5 feet of your bowels are full of shit.

Don’t forget the interviews with some of them people there. Classic case of “I don’t know wtf is going on but I’m here to follow whatever cause I’m Republican.” This was of course on Daily Show too
There are corresponding issues on the left. Also not very important.
I got tired of howling about media bias a long time ago. Bias has ALWAYS been present, in ALL media outlets. Google ‘yellow journalism’ for some examples.
The real purpose of every media outlet is to sell advertising and/or subscriptions, copies, donations, whatever. Bias is effective in that effort.
If anyone thinks there are any exceptions, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
We all need to consume multiple sources of news, and do our best to decide for ourselves what’s important and what’s true.

For many outlets that is true, but it is not a universal dictum.
Good outlets, like the New York Times, Washington Post, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and gathers McClatchy, AP, Thompson Reuters, and Bloomberg, to mention a few, are on the top of the heap when it comes to journalistic integrity. I would also mention the three major TV networks for excellence in broadcasting.
Bad outlets include all of NewsCorp, especially the New York Post, Times (of London), Jerusalem Post, and FOX News. Most blogs are bad news outlets.
What you and the right wing nuts like to call slanted is actually an independent, neutral point of view that does not follow your bias.
Media bias largely disappeared during the 1930s with the introduction of professional journalists and Schools of Journalism. That today the right wing nuts do not employ many (or any) journalists is their short coming.
Of course, accuracy and truth has never influence a wing nut’s decision. Instead, they like to blame the media.
I actually started a Facebook group dedicated to bringing attention to the Hannity scandal. On the Discussions page I left instructions for filing an online complaint with the FCC (they have a category of complaint specifically for this kind of media bias). Hopefully with enough complaints the FCC might put pressure on Fox News to take some kind of action
What really makes a Tivo better then a DVR from the cable company is that you can edit your channel lineup. You can remove things like HSN QVC and the Jesus channel. You can also remove things like MSNBC Fox News and CNN.
When you have this junk removed and are flipping through the channels you notice things like the city council meeting about rezoning a lot at an intersection. Or you see a the senate debating on CSPAN. when you see the raw and unfiltered version on politics you have to sit and think. Why should you rely on some douche to sum it up into a nice sound bite and give a platform for an expert guest to plug a boring ass book?
The news networks are all about one thing. Keeping you tuned in as long as possible to sell ad space.
Yes we might all know that Fox news is a joke. But the rest of the news outlets will then report on what fox reported. so it becomes real
Hannity admits it and apologizes:

See the difference now?

No question Hannity is a lightweight.
No question Fox leans right.
Neither is a particularly important fact.
There are corresponding issues on the left. Also not very important.

Hannity and Fox regrets being caught lying to the public.
