I purchased a Barbie complete with Bani Harb Bedouin tribal dress in Saudi Arabia about 15 years ago. I thought I read a few years back that the Western Barbie was banned by the Mutawa, their religious police.

Jeeezzzz… the burkha has nothing to do with religion! It is a political statement. When shall westerners ever start understand that??? Islam teaches nothing of the sorts, as Christianity does not.

The “IT” (see the Munsters) version of the Burkha has nothing to do with “Traditional Islam Dress”.
Political jerks in that part of the world just wanted to cover up the ugly women so the could imagine every one walking by to look like Barbie.
