Those bairns are defo CG. How do I know? During the close up at the end of the ad, the two bairns’ faces look exactly the same. I’m an Aspie with prosopagnosia and even I can see that detail. I think it’s the lack of diversity in the bairns’ faces that adds the creep factor.

And don’t worry, Obama has brought hope and turkeys for the less fortunate like myself. Hey! That’s something he did change; but not in America, were the buddy system is thriving with him. Maybe that’s why the babies are so happy in the video, more pork for their dads, which brings me full circle to my point as to why Obama brought turkeys here, just so he could take our pigs to give pork to his buddies.

#11 Dallas – I agree. I’ve been trying to train my 10 month old but he’s “afraid of falling”. Boo-Hoo the little baby. How’s he ever gonna shred with that attitude. I’m thinking getting him started on some steroids.
Spoiler Alert: The skates kept falling off the little guys so they were held on with Super-Glue.

Actually, I believe how they got away with it here is that they used real baby heads superimposed on CGI bodies. I couldn’t really tell up until the very last shot when the baby raises his arm. That’s when the uncanny valley crossed over for me.

Up until that point, good job! Perhaps at some point we *could* cross that valley.

#7 Dallas: I don’t think that babies were trained. The reason why this looks a little creepy is because these babies are not real. What I find interesting is that when they make fake grown-up people (video games, etc.), it is really obvious but it seems to be not so obvious with babies. Maybe it’s either because of the lack of complexity in a baby’s face or maybe our brains don’t have the level of facial recognition for babies that we have for adults.

Amazing talent and imagine it’s very difficult to train babies to do this. The last time I saw cuties skating in underwear was at a gay pride parade. Glad to see the trend taking hold.

As much as I hate the use of babies in advertising since it’s such a cheap blow to get “awwwwwwes” from people, that was pretty good and creative.

Oh and let me be the first post to remind everyone of the cliche “Evian is Naive spelled backwards.”
