Dipshit DC Cops Pull Guns on Snowball Fight

What the hell is wrong with these idiots cops? Not that the snowballers are the brightest bulbs in the pack.

    Yea saying “fuck you pig” about a hundred times is an example of being a good citizen. Right. Shurrrrrr. The cop was clearly the calm and collected one here, not these idiots that say “fuck you pig” to cops that are required to carry guns. I mean look at all the people there and their fucking attitudes and then someone throws a snowball at the cop and he still remains calm. So he takes out his gun once and these idiots harass the cop. This is the bullshit they have to put up with. Ass hole idiots with a camera.

    This is a good litmus-test case on police intrusiveness. If you feel that police are here to manage to the public and act as occupying forces in a community, you’ll probably approve this. If you think that police are servants of the community and are here to keep the peace, you’ll probably think this cop’s actions were an egregious over-escalation of force with the citizens of the community.

    Why do you think cops should use a brandished gun as an authority symbol?

    What would you do if a cop brandished a gun at your family just because they were in a snowball fight?

    It was a real dumb move by the cop to show his gun. Not smart at all. No doubt about that. However – the immature children in the crowd behaved totally unacceptable! I would have expected quite a few of them to be hauled in…and they would have deserved it.

    And to the ones above that hate cops in any way or form; what would your society look like without them? Get real!

    The cop should have called in his cohorts and snow fought with them. Then, after hitting them all in the face with icey snowballs, hauled them in to serve a night in jail, and with NO hot chocolate.

    Holy fuck, I can’t believe anyone could think that pulling a gun on a group of unarmed civilians is calm and in control, it’s more like frightened and panicking. And to those who say respect cops, fuck that,,,,respect is earned and the way these guys rally around each other regardless of right or wrong means that they gave up their earned respect long ago. I still firmly believe that anyone who wants to be a cop shouldn’t be allowed to be one.

    First off, why do people have no respect for authority these day? Could the Drug War, zero tolerance policies just for starters.

    Why do people these days have little respect for cops? Because there are so many bad ones. Rodney King, the BART shooting, the Mass. professor, personal experience. It all adds up. There ARE good cops out there, but they are overshadowed by power hungry thugs that use the uniform and the gun to get their sadistic jollies out of harassing the public. After a few decades, word gets around.

    Third…it was a snowball for chrissake. Not like it was a rock.

    Correct course of action… Present badge. Approach dipshit kids. Tell them it is against law to throw stuff at cars. listen to the kids complain. explain that they will be arrested if they do it again. Listen to them disrespect you for bothering them. arrest the next kid who throws snowball at car or officer. Listen to elitist kids complain and disrespect you. Call officers to disperse shithead crowd. Listen to them complain and call you names. Wait til one threatens you, then arrest him as well. Listen to the problem causers say that you can’t arrest them for what they have done. Tell them you can cause that is the law, tell them to pick up a law book. Realize that nothing will disperse the crowd since they are all douches. Drive the 2 idiots to the station.
