#8 I'm sure that was also a reason why Minority Report was a flop. And NCIS LA sucks by itself.

#9 Same thing with 3d movies yet people are going like crazy to any 3d (turf or otherwise) movie they show.

3D Tv is a dumb idea. Here's why. It's going to make people ill. When you see the world in 3D, you're in control of the motion. Whether you're walking or driving. You move, not the world. When you watch 3D Tv. You're sitting still, and the image (their world) moves, out of your control. The human senses aren't going to be able to deal with that. Because your inner ear will tell you, you're not moving. And your visual perception will tell you, you are moving. This is why I don't go to see 3D movies, like "Avatar".

And if you do manage to get accustomed to it. I can imagine how it will screw with your real world coordination, later. It could especially mess up the very young, whose brains are still developing. There's already been research about the effects of video games, on youth. I'm sure they meant the 3D games. And not Tetris and Ms Pacman. Isn't plain old HDTv, good enough for a few decades.

There's talk of Apple's tablet PC, on the local news. But they started off, putting down the whole idea, by asking "Do you really need this?" Well they weren't so negative and skeptical about Microsoft's dumb Surface technology. Basically making PCs into furniture. I think anything that requires the use of both hands (and arms) to do anything useful, is stupid. Fine, if you need the exercise. And have the use of both hands. But replacing the mouse with something that requires ten times more effort to manipulate stuff on screen? That's just silly. And no amount of movies and Tv shows featuring it, aren't going to make up for that. "NCIS LA" lost me, the second they started flipping evidence around up on a wall screen. Pul-lease!

And so, why is the stupid news media questioning the value of something smaller, portable, and more convenient to use? Just because it's not Microsoft's idea?! Sheesh!

#6 said: "AMOLED...which I can clearly read in full daylight."

My old ipaq 6315 could also be read in full daylight. Nothing new here that AMOLED brings.

Granted, the new breed of screens seem very bad outdoors but there's old tech that was able to achieve outdoor viewing.

I love AMOLED displays, the Nexus One will sell well simply on that feature. My portable multimeter, used for outdoor fieldwork, has an AMOLED readout, which I can clearly read in full daylight.

Something is messed up. It crashed Firefox. I restarted Firefox and got it to run. The gems of wisdom were okay.

I shall continue to use a tracphone for now. That way if I leave it somewhere or break it I don't bleed so much.

I like what they can do but the phone service is to rich for my taste and screen is way to small.

The price on the units will come down.
