No joke — I was worried about this:
Fans of the television show “Lost,” have no fear. The White House does not plan to schedule President Obama’s first State of the Union address on the same night as the premiere of the popular ABC series.
“I don’t foresee a scenario in which millions of people that would hope to finally get some conclusion in ‘Lost’ are preempted by the president,” Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Friday.
The season premiere of “Lost” is currently scheduled for Feb. 2. Gibbs said the White House will “soon” announce the date for the State of the Union address.

Lost is a good show. You have to work at it and really pay attention. The ending is going to be really interesting.
State of the Union Summary: “It’s all George Bush’s Fault. Good Night.”

Heh. I don’t read via a voice dictating to me so no I do not “hear” Obama’s voice when I read the transcript. However, I clearly analyze it given the person that is making the speech.
#17 So you don’t watch Lost either?
I still remember how Bush I’s brief heart flutter, interrupted primetime Tv for no damn good reason. So I missed the second half of a “The Flash” episode. Until it was rerun, years later. The thing is, they chimed in with the news, hours after Bush had been taken to the hospital for a checkup. By which time, he was probably fine. Trying to put up too much of a show, about being physically fit. Notice that US Presidents don’t jog as much as they use to.
But apparently the multi-million dollar price tag of present day Tv network series, makes them too costly to be shoved aside for every political speech. Or Democrats just don’t rate, with the Tv networks. Seeing as how many stations are owned by Republican supporters.
