This video proves nothing other than only millimeter wave technology is useful in this context – the resolution and technology on the scanner they were using here was pathetic. And I’m actually -against- full body scanners, for many other reasons.

Hi,

Infra-red scanners are useless; they should be using millimetre wave radar to pick up objects below clothing but outside of the body.

Used with chemical sniffers this should pick up what got though on this “test”.

Not that I am in favor of full body scans. I don’t think the infrared is the version they are looking at, I believe it actually back scatter x-ray. Which if the media videos are to be believed, provide a much clearer picture of items on the body.

This also reminds me of the $16,000,000 apache helicopters in Afganistan and Iraq. Claimed to be so advanced, so well designed that it only took to burn some tires to blind their sensors and a grenade on a stick to knock them down.

These things just don’t work ,you guys heard of Iraq bomb detectors , that turned out to be useless
