OK. We know what Colin Powell and Admiral Mullen have to say. Is John McCain a hypocrite or in Republican terms, caught in a Flip-Flop?

You guys can vent on John McCain but he’s not different than the rest of the conservative movement.
Once upon a time, some of them had the occasional principle but now they are strictly the party of “no” even when it’s a glaring contraction of something they once claimed to stand for. Like tax cuts or supporting the troops.

You’re the perfect example of tell a lie long enough you start believing it.
You break everyone into groups and dish out rewards or insults depending on the group. Everything about the Democratic Party screams race and racism.
As far as the Republicans being the party of no, freedom-minded people can only hope this continues especially under the current administration.
Agreeing with the destruction of freedom in favor of the oppression of Socialism requires a “no” response.
Get a load of Tom Tancredo’s speech to the Tea Party FOR PROFIT convention for an idea of where today’s Republican Party is headed. Simple, bare-bones RACISM, the same arguments that were used against black people when people wanted to give them the vote. Ridiculous, scary, and horrible all at the same time.
#8 “The Republican Party was established to end slavery and polygamy. And we are the ones who hate blacks?”
Neither of the two major parties are even remotely what they were 150 years ago. They are now very slightly left and right factions of the single “big government owned by big business and bankers” party.
Don’t like McCain, but don’t ask don’t tell is an appropriate and reasonable measure.

It is just a fact that the GOP is blocking and blocking and blocking. Unprecidented filibusters. Unprecidented holds on appointments.
It’s an intentional cconservative political strategy and it’s not even a secret, unless you get your news only from conservative sources.

THE GOP IS THE DO NOTHING PARTY. BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK
While the GOP rank-and-file have the political memories of puppies, the GOP leadership know that a successful Roosevelt let to a Dem majority for many years.
So, the GOP would rather see America nose dive into total economic collapse than for the GOP to lose any more power.
If someone refuses to serve with a gay, they’re a crappy solider anyway.
They’re insubordinate, unprofessional, reckless and way too immature to be entrusted with any sort of responsibility.

In an arrogant and a power-mad frenzy Pelosi, Reid and Obama dismissed the Republicans by literally locking them out of the process.
The Dems didn’t want to listen until they lost their power to ram through ObamaCare. Now they are just looking to pass the blame.
This is all Obama’s mess – let him revel in it.
