John McCain – Flip-Flop of the Year

OK. We know what Colin Powell and Admiral Mullen have to say. Is John McCain a hypocrite or in Republican terms, caught in a Flip-Flop?

    The Republican party has only a token few Jews, Blacks, and gays, especially in the south. Figure it out.

    I love all the idiots around around here OMG ONE Admiral says end it = Everyone else did too. Unanimously for years of Top Brass have supported DADT. I hope it leads to DADT being repealed I think it’s stupid. But the FIRST dissenter amongst the top brass does not mean end it now. If you do think that way it’s because your a partisan asshole.

    I heard Republicans want to their god to nuke all the gay unborn Islamic whales. With leaders like Beck and Palin they will soon need to rebrand Republicans/Conservative like the Dems had to rebrand Liberal to Progressive

    McCain has lost it he seemed to have it in 2000 but whatever IT is he has lost it.

    I worked with military people, and I’ve also known some gay people too. I think the prob that military folks have with gays is not a “phobia” but something more like embarrassment, i.e. men “behaving like women” which is an ancient attitude of the “it’s a man’s world” macho warrior spirit. But many gay guys actually don’t have the personalities of women.

    Also…now, if you were on the battle line what would you rather have next to you?: A heterosexual soldier who suddenly turns out to be a wimp under fire…or a lesbian amazon type who shows she wants to and WILL go kill those deluded enemy motherfuckers?

    Whoever CAN do the job gets the job.

    Case closed.

    #45 I don’t see the connection with something called gay humor or relationship to being poked someplace. It must be an inside joke of sorts in your circles.

    I will say you’re exemplifying borderline insanity. All it takes is an organization like the GOP to set angry and insane people like you off to do the irrational.

    A soldier dies in combat. While military officials are talking to the parents it becomes apparent that the soldier was gay. Should he be given a military funeral?

    This are the sorts of real life problems that occur. US Congressional based studies estimate that ~25 gay/lesbian American service members have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    I’ll be interested in who dodges this question and who doesn’t.

    Can you point out to me where a white Democratic electorate voted in a primary for a black man for Senator, Congressman, Governor, or President?

    Barack Obama may have won a few primaries, but he lost the white vote nationally to Hillary, as well as in his Senate run.
