Everything about Debrahlee Lorenzana is hot. Even her name sizzles. At five-foot-six and 125 pounds, with soft eyes and flawless bronze skin, she is J.Lo curves meets Jessica Simpson rack meets Audrey Hepburn elegance—a head-turning beauty.

In many ways, the story of her life has been about getting attention from men—both the wanted and the unwanted kind. But when she got fired last summer from her job as a banker at a Citibank branch in Midtown—her bosses cited her work performance—she got even hotter. She sued Citigroup, claiming that she was fired solely because her bosses thought she was too hot.

This is the way Debbie Lorenzana tells it: Her bosses told her they couldn’t concentrate on their work because her appearance was too distracting. They ordered her to stop wearing turtlenecks. She was also forbidden to wear pencil skirts, three-inch heels, or fitted business suits. Lorenzana, a 33-year-old single mom, pointed out female colleagues whose clothing was far more revealing than hers: “They said their body shapes were different from mine, and I drew too much attention,” she says.

“It’s like saying,” [Attorney Jack] Tuckner argues, “that we can’t think anymore ’cause our penises are standing up—and we cannot think about you except in a sexual manner—and we can’t look at you without wanting to have sexual intercourse with you.

Well, I’m distracted…

  1. Luc says:

@25 nailed it. She probably had it all figured out all along. She knows she’s hot and probably put some effort into looking and acting even sexier than she already is, so she would:

    1) Cause trouble and be fired.

    2) Take the story to the Internet, with sexy pictures ready for the occasion.

    3) ??????

    4) PROFIT!!!1!

  2. rcrach says:

She’s raising my interest rate right now.

  3. Scott M. says:

    What a tangle!

Step #1: Fire every dumb bastard that can’t keep his mind off his dick during the workday. After all, they are the ones that have reduced productivity.

Step #2: Change the culture that promotes the sexual objectification of women.

Step #3: Change the cultural mindset that holds beauty above the whole individual…and favors pretty people. You know it happens.

Maybe if each lustful male viewed this young woman as their daughter, the point would become clear.

  4. The0ne says:

I have a picture of her raggedy, dirty, starving kid somewhere. I’ll find it…just wait. Let me know after what you think of her still :)

  5. Anon says:

Scott M. said, “Maybe if each lustful male viewed this young woman as their daughter, the point would become clear.”

That would do wonders for human reproduction rates, unless you were a pervert.

  6. Luc says:

    @43:

Step #1 is possible, but not quite viable.

Step #2 is wrong! The whole concept of “sexual objectification” is very foolish. I like sex, I like women and I have a healthy desire. Not desiring such a good-looking woman would be a bad sign, that something was not working quite right, either down or up there. There is no such thing as “sexual objectification,” stop reading feminist books from the 60s!

Step #3 is impossible! Geez, you know nothing about the human nature!

Finally, why would a “lustful male” ever view this young woman as his daughter if she isn’t? Then why not view her as his cousin? Or his aunt? Or his grandmother? What’s this thing you have with pretending people are things that they aren’t? Sounds to me like you are advocating some weird, artificial dissociation of women and sex.

  7. bill says:

    WOW!

    Is CitiBank completely crazy?

  8. Cap'nKangaroo says:

If her good looks were a problem for her male bosses, why not find a position with a female boss. Surely there are comparable jobs with a female boss at this large bank.

  9. ray says:

I always wondered why they’re aren’t any attractive women at my workplace. Now I know.

Citibank should have just paid her to quit, and be hush hush about it.

  10. Wind Resistance says:

Total BS on the part of the half-witted boob job. Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen.

  11. Improbus says:

She is hot enough to work at Fox News and far to pretty to work at MSNBC.

  12. WanKhairil says:

She’s going to get some Google love. Now everyone wants to know how distracting she looks in a pencil skirts, three-inch heels, or fitted business suits.

    Also, #9 is totally right!

  13. Maricopa says:

    # 43 Scott M. said, “Maybe if each lustful male viewed this young woman as their daughter…”

Oh great. Now you’ve got me fantasizing about incest! Damn you…

  14. nauc says:

lame.. and ive seen WAY better

  15. tense says:

Looked at the pictures, She has Sasquatch Feet! Total Turn off!..
