John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, indicates that he would ‘reverse all of Obama’s policies’.

That they are obvious, and an overhyped threat. For all their wackiness, they’re actually still rational, and therefore largely snooze-worthy. Yes, they may be able to supply some third party, but that’s easy to trace back as well and would only serve them to turn their back yard into the world’s largest glass parking lot (and I would probably doubt the technical sophistication of those third party nuts as well).

It’s the wierdo from far out left-field that you need to worry about, and the more you keep your concentration on the clown shouting and screaming in plain view, the wierer that other guy will be and the harder he’ll be able to whack you over the back of your head…

    #21 The usual Pedro drivel.

I try to give you the benefit of the doubt by looking for a sign of a pony underneath your shit but always come out empty handed.

  4. Zybch says:

#15 I guess I misunderstood what kind of ‘largeness’ you were talking about. Sure, they have a much larger population however their terrorist acts have not had the same global impact as those carried out by the Israeli state.
Also interesting to note that ONLY Israel (thanks to protection from its US puppets) refuses to declare the type and numbers of its WMD arsenals. Why didn’t the US/UN go after Israel for its WMDs that are KNOWN to exist rather than Iraq’s ones that were strongly suspected NOT to?
BTW, I don’t label or think of myself as an anti-semite (I think that Iran having nukes is pretty scary too, but they DON’T have them yet), its just that we outside of the US/Israel spin zone generally have a very different picture of the odd relationship between your 2 countries than those living in them.
Its a picture that greatly should worry every American, but sadly you’ll never get very close to the truth while you still live in the media distortion zone that has been constructed around you. Its not your fault that you find it hard to break the conditioning you’ve been bombarded with since birth.

#23 I driveled on your drivel. Don’t you see that you’re fixated on the wrong side of the issue? Is time for you to accept & forgive yourself, you’re homopolitical.

  6. caranpaima says:

Iran is a dog that just barks and only bites if you corner them, and they know, as North Korea found out, that having Nukes gets you into the exclusive club of the “you can’t mess with me”. If you ask me, Pakistan with Nukes (they already have them!!!) is just as scarier as Iran. And what about the old USA? I’ve heard and read countless times American politicians (i.g. Jesse Helms, that Tancredo guy), saying “just nuke them!” to any other country they don’t like; I remember very clearly (I’m from Medellín) that some American politicians, I think it was Helms, were joking in the early nineties that all they need to crush the Medellin cartel was to nuke my city! And they would, had they been in the position to pess the button! Nobody likes to be bullied and threatened!

Nobody should have Nukes, but those who have them ain’t gonna let them go and those who don’t have them just keep wantin’ them more… There goes the Burma junta making plans to have them, and they WILL, as Iran, eventually succeed at getting them. Get used to it, the more people make a fuss, the more Iran will be CERTAIN that they need them so they will be left alone to keep trampling their people.

McNamarra stated the failure in Vietnam was because LBJ could not understand their culture and history. He could only think in Texan. He thought a political solution was possible, but Ho Chi Minh had no interest in bargaining. He couldn’t be bullied and rewarded like US Senators. The US has always screwed the pooch when we ventured outside of European diplomacy. Even after hiring experts in the culture, advice is ignored out of arrogance, or politics.

    Bobo..
    Think LONG TERM..
we have been sending metals and Wood products to china to build up the NEW building..
We sold them at inflated prices..

In the USA, do you think our corps would deal with ANYONE that didnt give us the CHEAPEST PRICE??
let China START to raise prices..
China took jobs away from Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, and others..by UNDER CUTTING COSTS.
They bought our LOANS..let them try to FORCE the money back. CLOSE down and rename the country..
    USA?? USA WHO??

LBJ was not wrong. Minh HAD tried to use diplomacy with the French and even tried with the US. But that was just after WWI and the French were high on victory and couldn’t care less about their colonies.

And the US was being run by the bigot Wilson and a congress that allowed segregation and was retuning back to isolationist views after so many good Amerikun boys were lost in the trenches.

He TRIED, but no one listened except the Soviets.

And even when Minh and other Vietnamese sided against the Japanese in WWII no one listened. So again he went elsewhere. China and Tse-Tung.

Just like in the ME, the US had plenty of chances to do the RIGHT thing, but they did not and so had to suffer the consequences.

Iran is another example, like Vietnam, where we had the chance to make them friends and we turned them into enemies.

Oh please, only a teabagger would listen to that moronic Keebler Elf.

The only way he made it into the government was through a stealth recess appointment by Bush.

He’s an embarassment to this country, but he’s a fine footsoldier for the military industrial complex and the neoconservative right.
