John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, indicates that he would ‘reverse all of Obama’s policies’.

    Well, the only policy of Obama’s that he mentions is the recent nuclear reduction plan with the Russkies? Yes, our nuclear defenses are very important in our war against terrorism and reducing Russia’s stockpile doesn’t mean a thing.

    What a friggin idiot. USA won’t be safe if we reduce our arms spending to below what what every other country on earth combined does.

    A complete and total mismatch of threat vs ability to respond.

    He is right about Iran and their come to Jebus Rupture religion. On that issue he may be right that Obama thinks he can talk them into something. There isn’t much difference in the asstardedness of a fundie Muslim and a fundie Neo-Con. Obama has zero track record in working with either.

    Along those lines, the more interesting news is about the UAE Ambassador dropping a turd in the punchbowl that the Arabs are encouraging Israel to take out Iran’s Nuke facilities. Heh, heh. Doesn’t hurt at all that Persian Iran is a competing Muslim Sect with the good Arabs in the area.

    I’m thinking poisoned wheat come the next food shortage.

    Can I suggest,
    that ANY nation in the middle east, that builds Nukes, has a few problems.
    1. its not the bomb thats the problem, its the MISSILE to send it.
    2. As a nation, your NEIGHBOR has a nuke, and WHAt am I going to do?
    3. 1 nation surrounded by 2-3-4-6 other nations..and they ALL want nukes, to fend off the other.
    4. ALL the in fighting in the groups around the missile east?? and you think they will aim at the USA??
    5. MISSILE, Intercontinental ballistic missile.
    ICBM..is NOT a small thing to TRIAL AND TEST. 500+ satellites around this planet, and you THINK they could launch 1.. IF they LAUNCH 1, there SHOULD be 100 more behind it, as they WONT get a second chance. It wont matter WHO they HIT with the ICBM, or even if it goes BOOM or BUST.. 12 OTHER NATIONS will be sooo upset..They will LAUNCH at the nation that did it.

    The end of the USSR came from the inside, not the out. It was never that mighty internally to begin with. And it did not help that despotism made it rot. The US is seeing a similar problem now with despotism in the local, state and federal government.

    As for people jumping to the conclusion of muslims all ready to go to paradise over living on earth. That is a dream too.

    He is already in paradise. He is the leader of a nation, eats well, does what he wants and even when an “election” is held the mullahs keep him in power. So long as he rails against the evil west from time to time, he will be fine.

    Only under 25 year old screwed up poor muslims will kill themselves for the cause. Just as under 25 year old US citizens go to war to fight them and believe themselves to be protecting the homeland and doing what is right. It is all biological. The portion of the brain controlling impulse is not fully hooked up so you can get them to pretty much do anything if you brainwash them.

    Jump a rooftop with CO2 fire extinguishers ziptied to a bike, yeah man! Go kill a bunch of other people in a foreign country and call yourselves heroes protecting freedom, AW right bring it on!

    Then we have to pay for the aftermath, with both of them injured because it looked like it would work but was doomed to failure.

    Not going to happen, unless we get REALLY tough on China.

    Then, to keep China happy, Obama decides to NOT declare China a currency manipulator. What a joke.

    China is out of control, and no one is putting on the brakes.

    YOU DON’T NEED A MISSILE TO DELIVER A NUKE! And even if a nuke were to be delivered by missile almost everyone already has SCUD’s!

    There’s also these things called planes and boats too. Ever think of that?!

    Just what do you think delivered the nukes in WWII to Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

    So if you think a suicide bomber might not take a speed boat right up the Potomac or fly in under under radar to detonate a nuke then you would be seriously mistaken. Think about it! They already smuggle dope into our country like that. So there’s really not a whole lot to prevent an attack by boat or plane where nukes are involved.

    Point is that YOU DON’T NEED AN ICBM or any other kind of missile TO DELIVER A NUKE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD! And we should do everything in our power to prevent Iran or any other “rogue” state like that from obtaining nukes too.

    Mr. Bolton may be an idiot, but he is dead on correct where keeping nukes out of Iran is concerned.

    I don’t see the barrel. Who would survive an economic war (for real) between China and USA??? I think the USA would after a major decline in living standard====and maybe in the longer run, that would be good for us.

    There are easy ways to get into the USA..

    Nukes are the least of our problems. You want to kill a lot of people without firing a shot? Find a way to blight our wheat and corn crop for one season (we feed the world). That would kill more people than dropping a nuke and it would be scarier.

    I think he makes a fundamental point and that is the US finds it very hard to understand the Muslim culture and beliefs. That is why we are still fighting in Afghanistan and why we cannot deter Iran with sanctions from making nuclear weapons. If we do not want them to have these weapons we will have to stop them by force.

    There are low tech ways to deliver a nuke. All it takes is a tugboat going up (for instance) the Potomac, the Hudson, or into San Francisco Bay.
