Upgrade to a SONG using autotune! Showing exactly where computer technology is taking us.

  1. hhopper says:

Cripes! What an idiot! We see double rainbows all the time in Florida.

The autotune make-over was pretty cool though.

  2. bobbo, the comedy of hooman culture revealed says:

I babbled about like that on seeing my first time lapse photography of a flower growing and opening.

Course I was 8 years old and drug free at the time.

    Next Up: Animal Hand Shadows.

  3. boolez says:

I just don’t get it. Is this something that B pushed up in the youtube ranking?

  4. Personality says:

The guy said it was over his yard. Rich Deutsch’s kid.

  5. Improbus says:

Double Rainbow, All The Way. I want his stash.

  6. freddybobs68k says:

Going by that – the future is bleak.

  7. Didn’t anyone find it odd that a song could be made from that babbling?

  8. Jmrouse says:

Song was made by the same guys who did Auto-Tune the news. Love that stuff.

  9. Dallas says:

Loved the video and would totally hang out with this guy! I see similar emotions from geeks at Frys near the Linux aisle.

  10. McCullough says:

Where oh Where is that Hungry Bear when you need him???? HUH!!!!

Now that would have been worth watching. And Hop is right, double rainbows are quite common, especially out west.

  11. NelsonOH says:

    But what does it mean???

  12. Cursor_ says:

Gave it ten seconds. That’s enough for me.

    Cursor_

Now that’s a good use of AutoTune: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs and Jobs!

    Turtle Fences too.

  14. O'Really says:

Auto-Tune the News is a great YouTube Channel. Search for Schmoyo on YouTube and be delighted. They’re a funny and creative group of guys and gal that put a new perspective on the news. It’s similar to NA with John and Adam just a bit more melodic!!!!

  15. Floyd says:

JCD: One person’s babbling is inevitably someone else’s “OMGWTFBBQ.”

“And that’s the way it is…”

  16. yankinwaoz says:

Oh lord. Someone has been hitting the Ecstasy a little hard. I just imagine the guy rubbing his hands all over himself while having this revelation. Hell. He is probably naked too.

  17. cgp says:

Maybe your skys are so polluted that you have never seen the full spectrum of the rainbow. There are two clusters of colour bands with a darker-than -ambient bit in the middle.

Hey I stayed in LA a few years back and never saw the celestial stars.

  18. cgp says:

    PEEE ESSSS

JCD article contributors are asleep at the switch.

Where is the alert of the CH4 catastrophe that is about to occur?

  19. jimmy james says:

John, I agree with you. Making songs from rambling is amazing. I am fascinated by it. I think they’re so compelling because the vocals are genuinely passionate. They are expressing real emotion.

What’s more amazing is how this has spawned cover versions! Here are two covers of the double rainbow song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qV0pIIvYQWU
    and an acoustic: http://youtube.com/watch?v=DgTCT1NpC44

Schmoyoho just released their new remixed rant: Strut that ass: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-fmwxaBjFGM

And finally, by someone else, another great song from a rant. This is the “jessi slaughter” rant that hit everywhere at once a week or so ago. Many remixes, this is by far the best: http://youtube.com/watch?v=98Np9hNSIWo

  20. C-SPAN FAN says:

Below is the link to the C-SPAN program where Brian Lamb interviews the makers of the Rainbow Song about their series “Autotune the News”. It’s a bad interview because they are being far too sarcastic for Brian.

It’s what I do so you don’t have to.
