Why again do we need paper currency?

Why do we need to keep to outdated monetary exchange?

Most people are now using debit cards not cash or checks. In fact checks are now so unusual upon seeing them I have to remind myself there are still old farts that still have them.

    Back on topic:

If this were taken seriously, why would we even be considering paper? Coins last longer and are more easily identified by machines (not to mention easier for the blind).

how about causing the highest rise in poverty in the history of the US in the last 2 years? How about adding more to the national debt in 2 years than all the presidents, Washington to Reagan combined?

How about because banks and merchants are starting to make it less convenient to use plastic.
How about because plastic automatically costs more because of bank charges, equipment costs, etc.

How about because ONLY with cash can you do anything privately? When was the last time you had to show a photo ID in order to use a $20 bill?

I suppose we could have a stamp with GW Bush’s likeness on it. Its denomination, no cents!

He meant they should make coins out of gold or silver so they hold their value in the physical medium of exchange.

You don’t shop around for good deals do you?

I have had a check card for years and not paid a penny in charges unless I am dim-witted enough to use an ATM.

Never once do they ask for ID as the ID is in the card. I have no fear of what I buy and where. The so called establishment is far too busy wasting time on foolish things than to be tracking a purchase of razors, toothpaste and some TP.

And no I was not talking about gold and silver. Those are antiquated garbage as well. Too heavy for what they are worth, spreaders of sickness. If you are going to carry barter goods than make them gems. Weight of an aspirin and worth more than gold in most cases.

Electronic currency is here and will only continue to dominate the markets. Bartering with hard currencies will become only for illegal transactions. And hey if you like that better bring a gun with you. You’ll need it when dealing with cash, gold and gems.

How did Obama cause the highest rise in poverty ?
The evidence shows he helped it from being even worse.
The rise in poverty is a consequence of the recession which was in play long before he took office. Thats like saying the Bush tax cuts caused the deficit.

Well we can’t count the money he has had to spend on 2 wars he did not start, I bet he would have loved to take Office with the country in the same state it was when Bush got the helm in 2001 those are the breaks

Yes he has spent a lot, cost of keeping the country from 1930s style depression If the Republicans were in the White House and just did nothing letting the country stay a tailspin then crash would you be as upset?

  10. Traaxx says:

Uh, what happened to Martin Luther King..I thought he was the great national liberation leader, and sex fend adulterer,…instead you want to put a black Bush clone on the $100 bill,…….what a joke …he,he,ha,ha….maybe you should ask the Clintons..he,he,ha,ha

    Whatever………………………………….

because it went up only in the last 2 years….you know the ones he’s been in office. Recession cause by the last 2 years that Bush was in office and Congress and the purse strings controlled by the Dems…any of that ring a bell.

Bush took the reigns and we were attacked on 9-11-01 which also caused a giant crash. Bush however quickly pulled us out of that tailspin. Obama has simply mashed the throttle to the floor

You have a very narrow view of how things work, and give Obama way to much credit. A lot of this is just the end result of the natural cycle of Capitalism. Every now and then we need to add new checks on rampant greed to keep Capitalism humane. Not to worry rampant greed will soon find away around them and ”

When we get to the bottom
we go back to the top of the slide
    Where we stop and turn
and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and we see you again
    Yeah, yeah, yeah”

Give him time to morph that $100 bill to a $10 bill and then put him on it. It’ll be a tribute to his Presidennzy.

  15. LJ Starz says:

    wow…
why do we need a new $100 bill??
i mean, is it REALLY necessary? i think we should leave it as our very first US President, George Washington. maybe the US should make $2 bill like Canada had. Mr.Obama could get his picture on the $2. no offence to our President, but Washington is a VERY BIG part of US history.
