And the reason Uncle Dave posted this cartoon is….?

  2. bobbo, cuckolded once again says:

I post to note that the cartoon says one thing about the electorate that is mostly true whereas the lead in by Unc Dave is talking about the politicians and saying something that is mostly not true.

It would be an exercise to find the common ground between the two data fields–it certainly does exist and is quite interesting to consider.

I’ll leave that little exercise to JB who is struggling with what a website/member blog site is all about.

But==on topic actually, and seriously: I’ve posted several times that deficit spending has the effect of a very regressive tax. I have not heard this idea anywhere in the news as yet. Obama, and everyone else evidently see the issue as tax breaks for the rich in order to get tax breaks for the rest===BUT THAT JUST ISN’T TRUE, THATS NOT THE CHOICE BEING MADE. No–rather it is economic impact on the rest of us thru taxes being paid NOW for services received NOW by US, or deficit spending to be paid plus interest on us later in life and/or by our kiddies. As a fiscal conservative, I think those who get the benefits should pay for them as much as possible.

It causes temporary blindness in me to listen to Barrack talk about fixing our deficit problem AS A JUSTIFICATION FOR THIS “NECESSARY COMPROMISE” with the Pukes. It is no such thing and so the challenge Politicians have is not with “values” but rather with reality followed rapidly by the electorate thinking that lowering taxes somehow makes them more free or having a more secure future or having less government in their way. Values turning to ashes.

Reality is a cold hearted bitch and she doesn’t love us. When she puts her iron hand of economic consequences into the velvet glove of delayed impact, the royal fisting we deserve and cannot avoid is not far behind.

    Heh, heh. Yea, verily.

Good God what a way to put it!

  4. dusanmal says:

Dilbert quote is exactly how the Left sees the general population (and how the Left interprets “values” accordingly). We are all for them Homer Simpson clones. Hence, Dear Left please leave us alone to have our values whatever they are and go to anally regulate your own lives, not others.

  5. The Monster's Lawyer says:

#4 dusanmal – what? I don’t see the political slant in the cartoon.

    Anyhoo…
Everyone has values. It’s the imposing of those values on others where the problems usually start. Religious, political, etc… you get the picture. Sort of like you.

  6. A Bush in the Hand or Something says:

Deficit Hawk and Fiscal Conservative Dick Cheney to Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill when O’Neill said he tried to warn Vice President Dick Cheney that growing budget deficits-expected to top $500 billion in one fiscal year alone-posed a threat to the economy. Cheney cut him off. “You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don’t matter.”

    There. Done. Next.

  7. A Bush in the Hand or Something says:

Saint Ronald Reagan spent like a drunken monkey to “fight the Soviets” or something. George W. Bush spent like a drunken monkey to “fight the terrorists” or something. And THOSE are the “less spending” conservatives.

Anyway, are you questioning Obama “at a time of war”? According to wingnut Ann Coulter, that’s treason! Oh, sorry, that’s only if Democrats criticize a Republican, it’s ok for Republicans to criticize a Democratic President, I forgot.

  8. The0ne says:

The script is about workplace. The terms value, value added, are all BS terms that Execs use to pep talk the crowd in a dire situation. This is where you know something wrong is going on and they are sugar coating it.

But yea, it could be about Obama, Republicans, pubic hair, Boobo and his giant man boobs, the cockroach in Wall-E, aliens in outter space…

Oh, it can also be DU for giving use these value-added reports.

  9. Alfred Persson says:

Bloggers here have no values, they will applaud Al Sharpton’s push to end free speech on public airwaves, because it offends him, or tacitly support him by ignoring his push against the 1st Amendment, because its conservatives in the cross hairs of Obama’s shadow government…

But then they claim to love free speech.

That’s a good example of not having values.
