I’m sure someone will point out that the teen was eventually found guilty. But that doesn’t change the fact that the police were beating a kid who was not fighting back.

#20 But shooting people you don’t much care for is no more right then the guys in the video kicking someone they don’t care for.

You’re trying to apply logic to senseless violence.

    Good luck with that one!

    THIS IS THE UNITED STATES!

    :-D

  3. KMFIX says:

Those police officers should all be fired.

  4. Improbus says:

    @jobs

I didn’t say I advocated it but I would UNDERSTAND it. Have you noticed that police are above the law? Even if you have forensic and video evidence it hard to get one fired or sent to prison. If that doesn’t change people are going start getting their own justice. The law must be applied equally or it isn’t worth spit.

  5. Cap'nKangaroo says:

According to the article I read at CBSnews, this video was from a surveillance camera and when it reached the proper authorities, the officers involved were suspended/fired and are now coming to court for a misdemeanor charge (up to a year in jail).

The big uproar is that this “Qaunell X” released the video when the Mayor of Houston and the Judge who will be hearing the officers’ cases ordered it withheld from the media until trail. The feeling was it would be prejudicial to the officers receiving a fair trial if widely seen before jury selection.

  6. noname says:

    # 9 What?

Attitude? What Attitude did # 5 1873, this American citizen display?

I think you have to be pinko commie to infer attitude!

    # 8 Rufus Redneck, Stalin and others believed in street Justice.

Most Americans (particularly those who fought in war to defend American justice) don’t care this justice, but; instead call it a crime!!!

  7. Ironhide1975 says:

As a son of a retired cop I even agree the force shown by the police was excessive. Back in his day though they would of just shot the kids.

Cops should be fired. Kid should be thrown in prison. Just that simple.

Boo fucking hoo. If the cops had video of 4 guys beating the shit out of one pig you can bet that video would have been all over the media from the second after it was in the hands of the pigs. Please, try to tell me it would have been withheld even close to this long had it been any other way.

I used to date a police officer.

She never once handcuffed me to the bed and beat me with her night stick.

    Though I begged her to.

Amazing how much this looks like vid coming out of egypt.

  12. msbpodcast says:

What’s the difference between mafia arm-breaking goons and the local police?

The local police are our goons … we hope.

Why are we surprised that the Houston police acted this way?

They’re the same kind of people that the Egyptian people are rioting in the streets about.

Imagine that!!! A bunch of dicks acting like cops.

  14. malone says:

Hey, he’s a dirt bag. Give the cops a break!
We always give rapists and child molesters
    a break.

  15. Cap'nKangaroo says:

#28 notatall I was not defending this, just explaining some of the context. My first thoughts were how quickly videos normally hit the news and this one, involving possible police misconduct, didn’t. Funny how that works.

#34 malone Had the 15 yr old been officially recognized as a “dirt bag” or is this totally left up to the discretion of the cops?

  16. eighthnote says:

Of course they didn’t to release the video. That’s a no-brainer – I can’t think of anything that would more incriminating.

I can. It would involve searching police lockers though.
